For those of you that may have CCWD for your water source … we recently got a separate flyer from them that if we wanted to see the required annual water quality report you can go online. (Of course they don’t proactively provide it and put it on a flyer that they know most people won’t even read it and just toss it). Well I went to their website and on one of their last pages in fine barely legible print they list water quality results vs State or Federal Standards. On one particular page ALL State & Federal Standards were listed as “NA” … finding that incredible I went to state & federal websites looking for them and found there ARE standards for some of the contaminents ; examples – ph standard is 6.5 – 8.5… CCWD’s water ranged detected was 8.1 – 8.8… Sodium standard is 20 … CCWD’s water averages 47! .. which is far above a Health Advisory / Notification Level! …. so much for their reassurance of “safe drinking water”

I’ve actually been enjoying some of the soccer games but I’ve got to say there should be some kind of award for best actor.
Whenever somebody gets a bump, an unintentional slap or trip…. the stricken player collapses onto the grass writhing in intense faux agony and gripping his knee or shin or whatever as tho he’s enduring unimaginable torture…. oh puhleeze!
And a minute later he’s fine.
USA let Turkey dominate the other day! Maybe not enough…or too much… rest time since their last game win…? Turkey was VERY handsy-grabsy too.
I was really bummed when Baseball team lost…. Done and gone! 🥹but they were great!
Just saw a kid on a motor-cycle, (some call them e-bikes, it’s really a motorcycle), Going well over the 15 mph speed limit on a canal trail, blowing through intersections.
60 seconds later down the trail was a tangled mess of bikes, a poor woman at the very least out cold and folks calling 911. This poor girl was just out for a nice ride with friends and got plowed.
When are the cities, counties, state, parks going to do something about this?? It is way out of control.
They do not belong on sidewalks, hiking, and biking trails.
Half of the kids riding these do not obey traffic rules as well
They are motorcycles. If you do not have to peddle it to make it go it is a motor driven cycle, a motorcycle.
Parents would you by your kid a honda, harley, etc?… but you buy them or let them have these motor driven cycles. Some of you are going to lose your kid to these when it is preventable.

To save seedling vegetable plants from chewing insects sawing them off at
ground level, cut bottom out of an empty Costco industrial sized yogurt
container, 64OZ. Bury inch or in ground with plant inside, insects have trouble
getting up sides, for added degree of difficulty in bug Olympics, Tangle Foot
in a brush top can. Apply to top 1/2″ on outside of container.
(wear disposable gloves, stuff is tough to get off your hands)

Planted bean seed in them this year, no chomped leaves.
Years back suggested cutting off bottoms of plastic solo cups, bad idea,
stunted growth of plants.

Another protection, empty tuna can, pour 1/4″ of soy sauce in then 1/4″ of cooking oil,
we use cheap canola. Insects go for soy sauce and get coated in oil and croak.

For slimy dinners, dry yeast 1/2 teaspoon and table spoon of sugar, again in soup can

Lastly ants, again with tuna can, dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of boric acid, Big orange Box
store sell it for $6.50 (lifetime supply) Add tablespoon of sugar. Set out where you
see ants. Don’t be shocked if can turns into black mass of ants and goes empty.
Repeat process like a good host, until they no longer show up, usually indicating
nest has been wiped out.
