40 years ago for Kaiser Martinez appointment, was last stop
on route, was only passenger and sadistic driver intentionally
triggered door to close on me.
I ride public transit all the time i cannot drive a car i am visually impaired
BART…. not quite a year ago …. disgusting, filthy, loud obnoxious people (not homeless – but through Oakland) , the homeless were zoned out smelling like a trash can probably OD’d. Station agents won’t get off their bxxt no matter what… on their phones, epitome of lazy …. I avoid using BART as much as possible now – used to ride it daily to SF & back going to work.
San Francisco Bay Ferry. July, 2025, took a relative on a ride from Vallejo to SF and back. It’s a little over two hours total. We spend no time in the city after we arrive….we get off, then right back on again, and ride back. It’s a good time, and you see a lot (Mare Island Naval Base, San Quentin, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz), which is nice if you’re entertaining friends/family not from around here.
It’s a great ride. Took the ferry with mmy Mom and daughter. We had a grgreat time.
I rode a county connection bus one adternoon, this homeless woman was on it with a mom and her daughter who was only a child.
the homeless woman starts screaming gross awful things to the mom and her daughter. I could tell the driver was close to kicking her off. She finally got off at a stop. God that homeless woman was disgusting.
A couple of years ago, I had to ride two buses in Concord.
Crazy people – one on each bus. Not pleasant!
Actually just today. Both County Connection buses and Bart. And I enjoyed both. It was nice to turn my mind off and just listen to music on the headset. Somehow I hit all the connections just perfect. Which I’m sure is not always the case but it was good.
About 14 or 15 years ago, I sold a car in Pittsburg and took BART back
to Concord. Prior to that, it was the mid 90s when I was going to college,
I took BART to the City.
At least 20 years ago.
My entire young life in Oakland on AC transit but now I think I would rather stay home. When on travel all the time although I hate the people playing violins with babies wanting money on the metro in Italy, it is already hot, loud and stressful with the windows open underground

Probably BART to the Coliseum when the Raiders came back from L.A. in the ’90s. That was a great time to be an Oakland Raiders fan.
BART – 1989 to Oakland for MC Hammer concert. In ended early due to a shooting, upholding All stereotypes.
The whole time we lived in California, we never rode a Cable Car. We finally got a Cable Car ride a year ago.
Something like 15 years ago, BART to a Giants game with one of my sons. Though my wife and I rode the trams in Amsterdam 4 years ago.
Two weeks ago. I took the #10 County Connection bus to go pick up my bike from the bike shop.
Last month I took BART into SF to attend a Giants game (Giants lost). Also transferred to SF Muni Rail to get to the ball park. I love my new Senior Clipper Card, which features significant discounts on most Bay Area Transit systems. Highly recommended. BTW, I had no problems on BART coming and going from the game. Lots of Giants fans.
Mid May I rode tram in Budapest and Bratislava and the Metro in Prague. Clean, super fast and extremely efficient. Europe has a fantastic public transportation systems. This country could learn a lot from them. Years ago I rode the Metro along with the bus system in Rome, bus in Florence as well as the bus system in Athens. Like the Metro in Prague it was a wonderful experience
In December when l went to the Scandinavian Clubs Christmas dinner. It is held at the Norwegian clubs property on the panhandle. I took Bart from Walnut Creek with a friend. This was the night where there were a big power outage in the City, thus Bart didn’t stop at the station closest to the Club, we had to go all the way to Mission and 16th street. Due to the power outage it was hard to get a taxi. All the Venmo cars got stuck and caused a huge traffic jam at Union Square.We finally got a taxi, we tried Uber and Lift, but no luck. The taxi we got had left the Union Square area because it was such a nightmare. Leaving the party around midnight things were somewhat back to normal. The ride on Bart was fine, no weird people, in fact some were really friendly. My friend plays guitar, so he was carrying his guitar, some young people struck up a conversation with us asking why we had a guitar with us.

about a year ago, from Oakland Airport to East Bay. Got to see all the lovely meth camps and homestead dump sites that make up that lovely (/sarc) town.
