The Concord Police Department made dozens of arrests during the week of June 17 through June 23, with officers booking suspects on a wide range of charges including burglary, DUI, domestic violence, robbery, weapons violations, drug offenses and attempted murder.
Among the most serious cases was the June 17 arrest of a 41-year-old woman on Babel Lane who was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, elder abuse, arson of an inhabited structure, animal cruelty and resisting officers.
Police also arrested a 43-year-old man on June 18 near Concord Avenue and Commerce Avenue on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm, possessing a large-capacity magazine, possessing a firearm without a serial number, possessing a controlled substance while armed and resisting officers.
Several DUI arrests were made throughout the week, including felony DUI cases involving injuries on Diamond Boulevard and Clayton Road, along with multiple misdemeanor DUI arrests across the city. Officers also made numerous arrests for drug possession, outstanding warrants, domestic violence, burglary, robbery, vandalism and theft-related crimes.
The department’s weekly burglary log shows nine burglaries or felony shoplifting incidents reported during the same period. Targets included a high school on Grant Street, a commercial building on Colfax Street, two rental storage facilities, two residences and several businesses, including stores at Sunvalley Mall.
