Yes they will come down.
I found it interesting while filling up my tank a woman at the next pump was cursing Trump out for the gas prices. I reminded her that they were at this level four years ago. Who was to blame then? She did not know what to say only gave me an angry stare.
HA!, …. that was funny.

Depends on how much more the Strategic Petroleum Reserve can be depleted to keep the gas prices low. If the Strait of Hormuz remains closed(ish) for too much longer, they won’t be able to drain the SPR any more, and gas prices will climb rapidly, maybe by August or September.
Will drop when democrat, tree hugger, green bankrupt cabal is ended.

Can’t think of a more anti business anti fossil fuel state, which has gone
way out of it’s way to impose unrealistic fantasy world operating rules
and outrageous fines on industry. Drove a profitable Steel plant, that
been in existence for over 110 years, to close.

We went form 30 refineries a few decades ago, today there are
only eleven in California. In 2025 refining capacity was reduced
by TWENTY PERCENT due to refinery closures.
There is another reason for high fuel prices, in a country with vast
reserves of Crude oil, politicians have made sure there is no crude
oil pipeline bringing crude into California. Close to 75% of
crude refined in CA comes from other countries.
You ARE paying those transportation costs for each barrel brought
in by SHIP.

oil monopolies.

Think it’s bad now, refineries can’t run forever they need
to take downtime for maintenance, they’re called outages
and can take many weeks to perform. Which will effect
prices. IF there are one or two very serious refinery fires,
will take many months to recover from.

Word of advice, until democrats are voted out, would be
best if you are able to, build up some savings.
Is going to take years to recover from destruction democrats
have wrought on our once great state.
