The Pacheco Transit Hub on Blum Road has become an eyesore, with tents, mattresses, shopping carts, garbage and other belongings covering much of the bus stop area. Photos from the transit center show shelters that appear to be occupied by encampments, making parts of the facility look more like a campground than a commuter hub. Graffiti is also visible on structures at the site, adding to the deteriorating appearance. The transit hub was built to serve bus riders and commuters, but today it’s hard to ignore the growing clutter and overall condition of the property.

Let’s be like Seattle. It will be a summer of reconciliation. No police are allowed.
We need more socialists. We need a Karen Bass.
Quick…..throw some more Billion$ at it!!!
that’s just the new low income housing units
were gonna see more of them
Wait for the No Tell Hotel in Concord to be converted to low-income housing.
cant wait for it im sure local suppliers are gonna be happy
That’s as far as Newsom’s “FREE TICKET OUT” of San Francisco took them.
I’m thinking… maybe “FREE TICKET BACK” might be our low-cost solution…?
For just a few dollars more…~~ Bakersfield has a secret solution, and zero homelessness.
IT IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN THE PACHECO TRANSIENT HUB!!!!! LMFAO not once have I seen commuters park there outta outright common sense, a bus go in there the CHP won’t even go in there AND they are a.few few buildings down it is the biggest example of tax payer waste in YOUR FACE!!!! The home hang out there deliveries all the underpass bridge trolls receive their drugs and everything else there as long as it’s existed!!!
SamTheEagle,
.
It was better used when it was a dirt lot with small hills where people would ride their dirt bikes.
.
I would see people parking in the lot for many years after it first opened as a Park and Ride lot, but the $3 million revitalization of this lot transforming it into the Pacheco Transit Hub by the Contra Costa Transit Authority, CalTrans, County Connection, and the City of Martinez a dozen years ago has failed, as the lot has been dead for years now, just like Concord’s Park and Ride lot on Market Street at the Clayton Road entrance to southbound SR242, which has also been dead for many years now. Government did what it does best, it wasted our tax money with the creation of this “transit hub.”
I see a covered bus stop and a utility box both of which have trash/treasure in/on them. I don’t see a transit hub however. Just an FYI
Sam the eagle, where shall I start with what you’ve had to say about the transit hub…Lets start with your report of the current state of Park n ride has gone down dramatically and will continue if the original guy that had been staying there comes back, as far as I can tell by those pics he’s no longer there. There’s a certain stereotype of the homeless we all came to a custom of knowing about that no matter what they all are on drugs and steal from hardworking people such as yourself…
Now this guy that I’ve witnessed on many occasions carpooling with my boss to work is that this guy kept that place clean even at times would sweep up the broken glass that hardworking individuals would leave behind after drinking in that parking lot and breaking the bottles like animals, not to mention the amount of water bottles I use to see with urine or bags filled with poop.. literally daily scattered through out the lot..but this guy would clean it up…he has been there for as long as Ive been commuting with my boss now for the last year at least..the grounds there had been kept up better than most peoples front yards of their home..chp does go in there as do the sherrifs and local police least 2 patrol cars a day weekly…
Unnamed,
.
Do you and your boss meet at the Pacheco Transit Hub?
