Five people have been arrested after a smash-and-grab robbery at the Banter jewelry kiosk inside Sunvalley Mall in Concord. According to the Concord Police Department, officers responded to the mall at approximately 1:24 p.m. on June 28 after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a robbery in progress. Investigators said at least four suspects smashed display cases at the jewelry kiosk and pepper-sprayed a customer before fleeing the scene with stolen merchandise.
Working with the San Francisco Police Department, Concord detectives quickly identified the suspects and located them in Richmond, where all five were taken into custody. Police recovered stolen jewelry from the robbery and also seized multiple firearms. Authorities credited the swift arrests to the close partnership and real-time intelligence sharing between the Concord and San Francisco police departments, saying the collaboration is essential in combating organized retail crime throughout the Bay Area.
The case was jointly investigated by the Concord Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and the San Francisco Police Department. It has been submitted to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, which has filed charges against the following individuals:
- Cameron Haynes, 21, of San Francisco
- Terry Franklin, 29, of San Francisco/Daly City
- Lavar Kent, 18, of San Francisco
- Eric Howard, 18, of San Francisco
- Teric Howard, 20, of San Francisco
Police said no additional information is being released at this time.

sets an employer would be willing to pay up for. How many don’t have a substance

previous crimes.

Set an example by seeking maximum incarceration OR will the usual charge
reducing – dropping, plea bargaining to a lessor charge, minor tap on the wrist . . . .
