No! Too many people without common sense. Don’t want anyone hurt or lose our homes.
No… too many irresponsible & careless people now as it is ….. and too many illegal fireworks starting fires – make it all legal and you can probably times that by 3!
I think they should karen’s may think other wise its a celebration once a year i don’t see why people can
be so negative and grumpy all the time we only have one life smile a little
… for those of use that live near dry grass open fields and skyrocketing home insurance – the risks aren’t worth it
YES!!! “Oh, but they start fires.” PG&E and the homeless are responsible
for more fires than fireworks, maybe they should be banned. Shooting off
fireworks is one of the most fundamental traditions in American culture.
Fireworks have been synonymous with the Fourth of July since our first
anniversary on July 4th, 1777. The Libs have been chipping away at our
history and culture for years in an attempt to destroy our way of life. I see
no reason why patriotic Americans should give in to them. It’s crucial that
we retain and preserve our history, culture, and traditions. Holding on to
our cultural values will provide future generations with social cohesion and
build a mutual understanding and empathy across diverse groups.
Preserving our heritage links past generations to the present, which will
allow us to learn from our past failures and successes rather than losing
our unique ethnic and historical identity.
As long as it’s legal to permit stupid people to live here, then fireworks need to be illegal. The two don’t get along

Considering the number of fireworks going off all year long, Birthdays, we won the game, we lost the game, we got drunk and decided to wake the neighbors & dogs~NO ONE seems to do anything to
stop the stupidity. Last Wed or Thurs (meaning it was not even a weekend~) In the general area
of N. 6th – N Concord fireworks started around 9pm and did not let up until after 1am. That’s the
routine every week or so.
This is a moot point. The type of fireworks that would never be legal, such as airborne explosions, are used every year. Last night after 12:30 AM three extremely loud explosions were heard in my neighborhood. I am okay with sparklers, ground level things and inch and a halfers.
Yes. I do not even know what the difference is between each of these fireworks, but as a means to celebrate, why deprive we free people of that right? I could see restricting specific areas from these (dry patch of land off Marsh Creek, for example), but let those “rockets’ red glare” be prominent, particularly on July 4.
PSA that sparklers have a chemical compound that can exceed 2,000 degrees, which is 10 times hotter than boiling water. Anyone thinking about letting a child near one should be aware of this as it poses a real danger to them. The ‘safe and sane’ ones are not free of risks of injury and fire.
It may be a good idea to keep the children out of the car also, they
could get seriously injured, of killed if they are ever involved in an
accident. It might be best if we leave them at home where they will
be safe from life’s inherent uncertainties.

Red Devil Fireworks (Safe and Sane) sparklers were my favorite as a child. I held them at a young age and enjoyed writing my name in the air. Yes, they’re hot on one end, but that’s not the end you hold. Never had any problems, nor did any of my siblings. Hold one end, light the other, and away you go. A lot of fun for kids and adults alike.
When I was a child at a 4th of July swim party I was holding my lit sparkler when a flaming chunk of it fell off, bounced into my rubber thong and stuck right beneath my big toe. I was kicking like crazy to get it off & I jumped into the pool.
While I enjoy fireworks, I’m never willing to lend a hand.
