Yes – Door Dash and just a few times – only when there was a major discount. Generally worked out as well as could be expected – 2x though, the driver took a round-about route and stopped at one drop off location for a looooong time – extending the “expected arrival time” several times.

No, I enjoy preparing and cooking my meals, I also know that nobody
will be picking at, and sampling some of my food. I also enjoy dining at
a nice restaurant with friends and/or family.
I would never trust food delivery just like I would never trust a valet to
park my car. Valets are notorious for taking certain makes of cars for
a quick spin around the block, and if it’s a fast sports car like a Porsche
or Corvette, they have been known to take them out on the freeway.
They also have been known to get your address from the car’s registration
and have their cohorts burglarize your home while you are attending an
event, or having dinner at a restaurant.

Don’t use any of them don’t trust other entitled people to not mess with the food after they haven’t received the tip they demanded!
I understand not using a food delivery service. However, what makes you think the people delivering it is entitled, that is a pretty broad statement. Many that do food delivery do it as a second job, because they need the money, noting entitled about that.

Too expensive now + I’ve had issues with them driving all over the place while my food gets cold.

The last time I ordered food to be delivered was in the 1970s, Chicken Delight (still around BTW). Of course no app just called them on the landline. And delivery didn’t take that long. They didn’t drive all over the place before getting to me. They could afford to have more delivery people because they weren’t paying such high wages.

Years ago we would have a pizza sometimes. Called to place the order and the pizza place delivered. But haven’t done that in decades. Never have tried the delivery apps and never will. If I want take out I’ll call and then pick up or stop and order in person to go.

No, but I’ve had groceries delivered to my house that should’ve been delivered elsewhere.
We started using DoorDash during the lockdown. We used it a lot back then, but we’re down to about once a week, now. It’s usually accurate and on-time, and we can track our driver on the map. I get annoyed when I see our Dasher make multiple stops before getting here.
