Airbnb, etc. should be banned. if you want to own a hotel, buy one. If you’re too cheap to stay in a hotel, that’s your problem. It’s unfair to the neighbors. It’s a residential neighborhood, not a commercial one. After the Oct. 31, 2019, mass shooting in Orinda that left five dead, I feel even stronger.
You seem like the kind of person everyone hopes doesn’t show up to a party.
… not a good idea …. many renters just trash the place leaving a mess looking like a dump …. even when they say “no parties” they still go on …. observed from experience
Not a good idea.
But hiring someone like this to work for the county is also a terrible idea. She should be fired immediately for this angry behavior.

Hell no there is a reason why we have hotels and banquet halls to rent.
I see many comments online such as: “It’s your house = you should be able to do what you want”. Yeah, comments like that are usually from NON Homeowners! Too many of these “vacation renters” trash the neighborhood/ have no respect. Get a hotel.
My friend in the City sold his South Tahoe home and made it into an Airbnb. In his case, he said, the whole area did.
Years ago the house behind us turned their home into a week end rental. The people renting the home were always loud and up all night etc. It was horrible.
