It doesn’t matter what President Trump or Eric Trump say about the Air Force aircraft with tail numbers 28000, 29000, or 30000, because they don’t get to decide where any of these planes go once they’re retired. Once the aircraft with tail numbers 31000 and 32000 are delivered by Boeing in 2028 or later, the 3 previous aircraft most often used by the presidents may stay in inventory and continue to be used in some capacity by the vice president, secretary of state, or other individuals in the line of succession or to ferry members of Congress on overseas “fact-finding missions.” Tail number 30000 has very few hours on it, so it’s highly unlikely to be retired anytime soon. If Democrats get control of Congress then it’s unlikely that any of these planes would go to a Trump Presidential Center. Former Presidents Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Biden would all like to get a hold of 28000 or 29000, too.

It’s not as simple as just saying, “Trump had to bribe Turkey with fighter jets to keep them out of the conflict,” as U.S. law first has to be changed, and it’s highly unlikely that Congress would allow that to happen. If U.S. law were to be changed to allow Turkey to acquire these F-35 stealth fighter jets, it wouldn’t stretch U.S. resources, as we’d not be giving our F-35 fighter jets to Turkey, but rather allow Turkey to purchase new F-35 fighter jets from Lockheed-Martin. I hope the law isn’t changed to allow for the sale of these jets to Turkey.

The problem with continuing to fund and supply the Russian-Ukrainian War is coming from both parties in both houses of Congress.

President Trump isn’t totally blameless, as 6-months ago he allowed former Bush-Cheney Administration officials to get in his ear about how his “hands-off” approach to dealing with Ukraine has freed the Ukrainians of the Biden-Harris Administration restrictions on Ukraine attacking inside Russia and convinced him to tacitly support Ukraine, with those Bush-Cheney Administration officials convining PresidentTrump that, “The tide has turned,” “Ukraine is now winning the war,” and “Putin is now in hiding due to fears he’ll be assassinated by Ukraine.”

I’d like for us to be out of the business of funding and supplying Ukraine, but Congress and President Trump need to make the decision to either stop funding and supplying Ukraine or give them everything they need to fight Russia, but this middle-ground stalemate funding and supplying that we’ve been doing for 4+ years is pointless.
Democrats? War? Yes they would have. Their idea of war is taking mega mountains of taxpayer dollars, giving it to an enemy nation that want to destroy us, and telling them that they must behave and be nice.

1) Iran still doesn’t have a missle capable of reaching us.
2) Even if they did, Iran’s systems and stockpiles would be far less developed than ours. Hitting us would mean retaliatory destruction.
3) Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s fatwa against nuclear weapons, declared their use was against Islamic law.
4) As is evident with N Korea, a nuclear weapon is the best defense against Western aggression. Compare their situation to that of Libya. Gaddafi ended Libya’s nuclear program and within 10 years, he was brutally killed and the country in tatters. N Korea on the other hand has remained uninvaded and independent.
Islamic Law appears to be open to interpretation.

There’s plenty of evidence out there that the fatwa issued by the late Ayatollah Khamenei was not permanent, non-binding, and/or on a “sliding scale.”

The fact that North Korea was able to build nuclear weapons is the exact reason why Iran and all other countries of the world won’t be allowed to build or otherwise acquire nuclear weapons. Brazil also ended their nuclear weapons program and South Africa both developed and then dismantled their nuclear weapons and haven’t faced “Western aggression.”

Yet, the military actions in Iran this year have largely, if not almost completely, been a mistake. We more than likely can’t bomb our way out of this or bomb Iran into submission. This is only going to result in much more bombing and much more killing, all for the hope that someone with power in Iran survives, steps forward, and capitulates to U.S. demands. Destruction of Iranian electrical and water infrastructure is likely what the U.S. will have to result to. President Trump was sold the idea that this was going to be a much easier mission to achieve than it’s turned out to be. I almost never spend any time in the Politics thread, but I feel the need to pass on an urgent warning.
This week, CNBC announced that Tennessee was the worst state in the country to live in, followed by Texas. At first, I was like “Oh, Nooooo!” But then I read the article, and their criteria, and decided I was OK with that.
But I would like to caution anyone who is considering leaving any of the exodus states, such as California and New York, that they should read the CNBC article before deciding to move to Tennessee or Texas. And if they are upset about the same things that CNBC is, they will not be happy here. And that would be unfortunate for everyone.

-Republic led states
-mostly in the south
-mostly poor
CNBC’s most summarized problems with these states are:
-Lack of inclusiveness
-Health care
-Worker protection
-Reproductive rights
No mention of affordability, individual taxes, or individual liberties..
Given that these are all red states with red state values, it is no surprise that CNBC finds these states least desirable.
