A California Highway Patrol officer arrested a driver on July 4, 2026, after a traffic stop for expired registration led to the discovery of firearms and an outstanding arrest warrant. According to the CHP, the driver told the officer his driver’s license was suspended. A records check then confirmed the driver also had an active arrest warrant. As the driver exited the vehicle, the officer spotted a Glock handgun in the driver’s side door. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered an AR-15-style rifle in the rear, along with several magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds. The driver was arrested and booked into the Alameda County jail.
They’ll drop all charges and apologize to the ‘victim’ as Komrad Newsom said expired registration is not an excuse to pull people over and it unfairly targets POC.
Nice rifle and the 19 ain’t bad either, too bad it is in the hands of a s#!thead. I have that same bag! although I am one of those hated 100% legal types.
