San Francisco police and sheriff’s deputies made 76 arrests in a sweep of drug markets in the Tenderloin, Mission and Southern districts during a one-day operation. Officers also seized 85 grams of narcotics, which is roughly equivalent to the weight of a deck of playing cards, and a firearm, police said. The joint operation was orchestrated by the Drug Market Agency Coordination Center, a task force that combines city law enforcement agencies like the San Francisco Police Department and San Francisco Sheriff’s Office to tackle open-air drug markets. Police said 57 of those arrested had outstanding warrants, including five who were taken into custody by the department’s Fugitive Recovery Enforcement Team, which focuses on tracking down individuals with active arrest warrants. The arrests were part of the city’s larger crackdown on drugs in the Tenderloin and South of Market neighborhoods, police said. San Francisco launched DMACC in May 2023 to target open-air drug markets and narcotics sales. In May, 62 people were arrested during a similar one-day operation in the same San Francisco neighborhoods.
When the Dems handed out free needles, and established a safe place
to shoot up, they sent a clear message to the already 1/2 dead druggies
that it’s OK to do drugs in San Francisco. When I say 1/2 dead, I’m referring
to the dead brain cells that have been destroyed from years of using drugs
that has left them with 1/2 a brain, which means they cannot be dealt with
rationally. Now that it has become chaotic, the Dems want to clean it up.
Typical Dem behavior, throw money at a problem, ignore the root cause,
and remain passive as a bad situation deteriorates further. This often results
in spending more money than necessary, only to mask the issue temporarily.
Then they wonder why spending money won’t fix a broken internal process or
a bad strategy.
Good job LE! we all know that’s just the tip of the iceberg though
