On Oct. 15, 1993, a burglar gained access to the Bank of America branch at 626 Main Street in Martinez (now Five Sons Brewing) by entering through the roof and hiding in the ceiling overnight. After employees opened the bank the next morning, the suspect dropped into the building, stole approximately $35,000, and escaped before police arrived. Investigators said the robbery appeared to be carefully planned, with the thief leaving few clues behind. Authorities later linked the robbery to a broader investigation that eventually included the kidnapping of a jeweler in Antioch later that year, leading to the arrest and conviction of Euro Wills on multiple charges. Eural Wills died in prison on February 14, 2021. He was 50 years old.

I enjoyed the video plus that I recognized many of the scenes. While he was talented, Eural Wills, also had a habit of making poor choices.
I remember this well!! I was 16 years old and a sophomore in high school.
It actually happened at the Bank of America Branch in The Virginia Hills Shopping Center on the Pleasant Hill border, not at the Bank of America Branch on Main Street downtown.
Similarly, in the video, they mentioned that it happened in downtown Martinez, even though it was 5 miles south of downtown Martinez.
