Morning Update on the Morgan Fire in Clayton! The Contra Costa Community Warning System has given the “All Clear” for the wildfire in Morgan Territory after firefighters announced Saturday morning that forward progress has officially stopped. According to Cal Fire, the containment is currently sitting at 30%. Although normal activities have resumed, firefighters encourage motorists and citizens to drive with caution and stay alert when passing through the area. Emergency personnel and crews are still actively working throughout the day, Cal Fire said.

Really happy to see they’ve gotten the upper hand on this one. A fire in that valley, Mt Diablo and Clayton…could really go either way…and fast. We’re lucky to have Con Fire and Cal Fire. They are the best.
