Thank you. Yesterday’s Morgan Fire on Mount Diablo is a reminder of just how quickly things can change during fire season.
What could have become a devastating wildfire was met with an incredible response from firefighters, aircraft crews, law enforcement, dispatchers, and other first responders who worked through the night to protect lives, homes, and one of Contra Costa County’s most iconic landmarks. Because of their skill, teamwork, and determination, homes were saved, the fire’s spread was stopped, and Mount Diablo was protected. To every person who responded to the Morgan Fire – thank you. Your dedication to this community never goes unnoticed, and we’re grateful for everything you do. A big thank you is right. Holy cow, these guys/gals are so terrific, from everyone on the ground to the pilots in the air. And that sentence is correct regarding their dedication not going unnoticed. I believe these people are appreciated more than they realize. I know I’m grateful for every one of them.
