Clayton police made two arrests and investigated two vehicle thefts during the week of July 10-16, according to the department’s latest weekly activity report. A 45-year-old Clayton man was arrested shortly after midnight on July 11 near Center Street and Diablo Street on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs after officers stopped him for vehicle code violations. He was booked at the Concord Police Department. On July 16, officers arrested a 42-year-old transient woman near Clayton Road and Washington Boulevard on an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking. Police also took reports of two vehicle thefts, both on Mt. Tamalpais Court. The first was reported on July 13, and the second was reported the following morning on July 14. The department reported no traffic accidents and no vandalism incidents during the reporting period.
