Update: The fire has been knocked down and crews are switching to overhaul operations. Although it hasn’t been confirmed, this appears to the old Vic’s restaurant.
Update: Due to additional callers and details, this has been upgraded to a working fire. The first unit on scene reports smoke from and inside the structure.
ConFire is responding to reports of smoke seen coming from a commercial structure on Pacheco Blvd near Haven St, in Martinez. Please avoid the area.
PulsePoint lists it as 1500 Pacheco Boulevard which is Vic’s, now known as Brother Sisters. PP reports that a massive amount of fire and EMS equipment was dispatched to the conflagration. Vic’s DBA Brother Sisters reports that they will be closed indefinitely.
Though Vics was a very popular eatery it wasn’t so much with the neighbors in the area because the restaurant patrons took up parking in front of their houses. Maybe a fine location for a fast food places like Foster Freeze was.
I’d rather see a Fosters Freeze or Dairy Queen. Sometimes nothing beats a soft serve dipped in chocolate or a Blizzard.
