Californians will pay almost 10% higher healthcare premiums on average for their Covered California coverage in 2027, the state agency announced Tuesday. In the coverage year 2027, premiums will increase by 9.9%, compared to the 10.3% increase for 2026.

I figured out back in the 1980s that health care was going to be the next big money pot. Instead of focusing on making it affordable they use it to milk the public. When I had a PPO they even had a free or very affordable yearly checkup available. Much of the problem is the AMA who rules like an iron fist.
When I’d call any office for an appointment and said I had Blue Cross, the receptionists’ first words were always: “HMO or PPO?” As soon as I said PPO, they couldn’t help me fast enough,
So that means Social Security increases will be 10% – right? Increases should only be allowed to whatever the official rate of inflation is declared… as depicted in SSA COLA increases.
