Clayton Crime Roundup: Two DUI Arrests, No Burglaries Or Vandalism

The Clayton Police Department had a relatively quiet week between July 17 and July 23, with no reported accidents, burglaries, thefts or vandalism. Officers made two DUI arrests during the reporting period. On July 18 at about 2:30 a.m., officers stopped a 26-year-old Pittsburg woman on Kirker Pass Road for Vehicle Code violations. Following an investigation, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher. She was transported to the Concord Police Department for booking. The following night, at about 11:35 p.m. on July 19, officers stopped a 45-year-old Vallejo man near Marsh Creek Road and Pine Lane for Vehicle Code violations. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, possessing a controlled substance without a prescription, destroying or concealing evidence, bringing a controlled substance into a jail, and violating probation. He was also transported to the Concord Police Department for booking.
