Five men were arrested during a recent multi-agency child predator sting in Walnut Creek after allegedly traveling to meet someone they believed was a child for sex. The operation, led by the Walnut Creek Police Department and the Contra Costa County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, targeted adults who used social media to attempt to sexually exploit children.
Those arrested were:
Andrew Garcia, 32, of Concord
Billie Ray Breland, 29, of Antioch
Rudolf Naused Robl, 42, of Germany
Jacek Markiewicz, 67, of Walnut Creek, who also faces an attempted kidnapping charge
Taesu Park, 36, of Marin County
All five were booked on charges including attempted lewd acts with a minor, contacting a minor to commit a sex offense, and arranging to meet a minor for sex.
According to police, the ICAC Task Force works to identify and arrest online child predators before they can harm a real child through proactive investigations, training, and victim support.
