A fire near highway 242 and Market St (close to the Smart Stop Storage facility) in Concord has been extinguished. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Thanks to TrashBandit for the photo.

I’m pretty sure it was started by homeless. Case closed.

Thank goodness the homeless are allowed to have fires, without taking outdoor fire safety classes.

How long do we have to put up with spending hundreds of thousands of tax dollars every year placating the homeless and putting our firefighters in harms way over no consequence arson? It’s ridiculous ….

“Those people” already burned out their campground a couple hundred yards away… this camp was past due.
Con Fire should just do a good series of Controlled Burn (training sessions) of the highways from the 680/242 split on 242 up both side embankments to Marsh Rd. ~~ and both sides of 680 to the bridge. Initial problems not solved, but slowed down a lot!
