The Monument Crisis Center is asking for the public’s help after its only pickup truck was stolen just one day after the nonprofit distributed hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies to low-income Contra Costa County students. According to the organization, the theft occurred Sunday, Aug. 2, when its 2004 Ford F-350 was taken from the front of the Concord facility. The truck is used daily to transport donated food, diapers and other essential items to families and seniors throughout the county. The loss comes at a critical time, as the truck is needed to deliver hundreds of food bags for the organization’s weekly pop-up food distribution in central Pittsburg on Thursday, where more than 150 clients are expected to receive groceries. This is the second time in just over 10 years that Monument Crisis Center has had a truck stolen. A similar theft occurred in February 2016. Anyone with information about the stolen truck is asked to contact the Concord Police Department’s Anonymous Tip Line at 925-603-5836.

Um, MCC is the largest wealthiest non-profit in this area. Very rich. Get govt grants. Theyll just write it off their corporate taxes. They have like $20 million in assets. How do u know this wasn’t an inside job concocted by the employees?
We don’t and that sounds like an awful lot of money allotted in gov grants and a very broad umbrella to hide funds under.
I don’t care if it is $5-$6 million or if it is $20 million even $1 million is too much in gov grants. We have plenty of taxation to handle this. More gov bloat and waste is not needed. They receive too much funding locally and federally. Here is a breakdown:

Sounds like Tony has given this a lot of thought. You want to bet he has at least thought about getting donations and was shut down. Tony here seems like one of those who says it’s OK to steal from those big corporate grocery stores too – their insurance covers it.
