A fire off Highway 242 in Concord has been extinguished, but northbound lanes are still blocked right before the Clayton Road exit. This is the 4th fire in the same spot within the past week. This was directly behind the Smart Stop self storage facility.

I’m surprised there’s still any vegetation along that stretch that’s able to burn.
Have to wonder why they do not just fire out
the remaining fuel.
If they prefer not to, bring in the goats.
Either way there is no fuel remaining and no
coming back for the same thing multiple times in one week

After they finessed the “situation”, salary for goat herders in
CA now with overtime is between $60,000 up to $240,000 a year.
Couldn’t ask for an area more suited for homeless encampments.
Strip of what appears to be state owned land, pedestrian underpass
goes under freeway right where off ramp paving begins.

an easy way towards Water World fence line towards Galaxy Way

An if water is too high, walking access road on west side of 242
there is an unlocked gate built into fencing behind buildings on
Commerce Avenue a block away from recycling center.

City and county need to plot Police calls to homeless areas on
a map. Fire dispatch needs to plot calls for service, medical and
fire on same map. After all that activity is laid out on a map,
take a look where recycling facility is.
