Concord police made arrests involving robbery, assaults with deadly weapons, vehicle thefts, DUI, domestic violence, drugs and other offenses during the department’s latest weekly reporting period. The Concord Police Department arrest report covers Aug. 5 through Aug. 11. Among the more serious cases was the Aug. 7 arrest of a 40-year-old man in the 2000 block of East Street on suspicion of robbery, causing harm to an elder or dependent adult and resisting or obstructing an officer.
On Aug. 9, a 34-year-old woman was arrested in the 2800 block of Eastgate Avenue on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Another assault with a deadly weapon arrest was reported early that morning in the 1500 block of Monument Boulevard. Police also arrested a 26-year-old man on Claudia Drive on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or partner, child cruelty, false imprisonment, damaging a wireless communication device and violating a court order. Vehicle-related cases included two people arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft in the 2100 block of Monument Boulevard on Aug. 9 and a 41-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft on Arnold Industrial Way on Aug. 8. Police also reported arrests involving allegedly embezzled leased or rental vehicles. Several DUI arrests were reported, including arrests near Monument Boulevard and Oak Grove Road, Willow Pass Road and Diamond Boulevard, Willow Pass Road and Mt. Diablo Street, and in the 3500 block of Clayton Road. The weekly burglary report listed eight incidents from Aug. 5 through Aug. 11, including six shoplifting cases, a burglary at an auto repair shop on Willow Pass Road and a burglary at a rental storage facility on Market Street. Several of the shoplifting incidents were reported around Diamond Boulevard. Other arrests during the week involved controlled substances, warrants, probation violations, domestic battery, theft, trespassing, vandalism and weapons-related offenses. The lack of self control and coping skills is going to be a huge problem (is a huge problem) and will be coming at us very soon. “not saying this is the reason for the news report” but with the whole social media addiction and the next generation feeling like they are not making it (the world is unfair, can’t be what their parents are) they don’t have the attitude to attempt to excel so they cant cope and in their heads the only thing is to burn it down as if that will make them feel better about themselves. expect more.
