I don’t get why the school is putting this out there when the incident didn’t happen at school. When I was in high school, there were incidents where some students died because they drove drunk. The school didn’t send out letters to anyone, as those incidents had nothing to do with the school.
This entire incident has been heartbreaking. For both families. But was has been just as upsetting is hearing the rumors started and how fast people jump the gun to believe what they hear without knowing facts. Instead of assuming or believing what you hear maybe it’s best to help students learn how to handle this situation. It’s moments like this one where kindness should be offered no matter what the situation was that caused this. My prayers are extended for the student that was hit and his family and friends. And prayers for the student and family who caused the accident. May we all be given the same grace and mercy we dish out one day.
Of course it’s terrible that a kid was hit. Nobody was being unkind here. I’ve heard no rumors on this website and no details except for right now, with you saying that another kid was responsible.

Would anyone care to explain what actually happened if you actually know? Girl lost control of her car and hit guy on sidewalk or in street??
