Traffic Alert: DVC, LMC Students Head Back To Class Monday

Traffic could be a little heavier around Diablo Valley College and Los Medanos College this week as students return for the start of the fall semester. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 24, at both DVC in Pleasant Hill and LMC in Pittsburg, bringing thousands of students back to the two Contra Costa Community College District campuses. Drivers traveling near DVC should expect increased traffic along Golf Club Road, Viking Drive and nearby streets, while motorists near LMC could see additional congestion along East Leland Road and surrounding areas. Traffic is typically busiest around the start and end of morning and afternoon classes, especially during the first few days of the semester.
