Concord Police Report DUI, Weapons, Assault And Burglary Cases During Busy Week

Concord police reported a series of arrests involving DUI, weapons, assault, drugs and other offenses during the week of Aug. 13 through Aug. 19. Among the more serious arrests, a 45-year-old man was arrested Aug. 14 near North Sixth Street and Esperanza Drive on suspicion of being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public, possessing controlled substances while armed and drug possession. On Aug. 15, police arrested a 27-year-old man on Arnold Industrial Place on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a loaded firearm in public. Another arrest that day involved suspected domestic violence, while a separate 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of harming an elder or dependent adult and violating probation. Police also reported several DUI arrests during the week, including arrests on Clayton Road, Monument Boulevard, Willow Pass Road, Oak Grove Road, Kirker Pass Road and other locations. A 49-year-old man was arrested Aug. 18 at 2070 Diamond Boulevard on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm. In a separate report, Concord police listed eight burglary or shoplifting incidents during the same seven-day period. They included a residential burglary on Concord Boulevard, a burglary at a storage facility on Monument Boulevard and shoplifting incidents on Diamond Boulevard, Willow Pass Road and Treat Boulevard.
