Contra Costa Health is warning residents that COVID-19 is on the rise in Contra Costa County and is offering several recommendations aimed at reducing the spread of illness. The health department did not provide specific numbers or data showing how much COVID activity has increased in the county. According to county health officials, residents should consider taking additional precautions as COVID activity increases and flu and RSV season approaches. Among the recommendations from Contra Costa Health are staying up to date on COVID vaccinations, testing when needed, considering masks in crowded indoor spaces, washing hands frequently and staying home when feeling sick. The vaccination recommendation comes directly from Contra Costa Health; Claycord is sharing the agency’s guidance and is not independently advising readers whether or not to receive a COVID vaccine.

I got my first Covid shot in January, 2021, and didn’t get Covid until June, 2024. My wife and I experience a lot of coughing, especially the first two nights. Still, something like a bad cold was better than dying of it, like two guys I knew did. We’ll be getting the updated Covid shot and flu shots in late October.
That’s great never have had 1 shot and neither has my wife and no sickness as everybody around us that took that needle in their arm got sick multiple times and still do! I believed my eyes and experience originally and always have. There is no reason to do anything different, and yes I’m just thinking of myself just like anyone else!
My mom literally fractured her spine from coughing so hard when she had COVID. A friend of a friend actually died of asphyxiation. My step dad was hospitalized in the ER. Just because it didnt happen to you, doesnt mean its not dangerous. COVID vaccination is just like a Flu shot. The flu can also kill you, its just not common in our country but does happen. I don’t know why people are so against not only keeping yourselves safe, but keeping other people safe too. Thank you for only thinking of yourself…. I’ll leave a note on my friends grave telling them its a scam.

I looked in the mirror and decided I was not a guinea pig. Besides I have been using alternative medicine for years. Each to their own but it is still good to be wise about such things. Also you don’t have to be a doctor to know medical knowledge about things. And there was a history already of bogus “pandemics” and dangerous vaccines. The general public however doesn’t spend any time to even a layman’s education. They’re too busy looking at their phones and sports.

If you are sick, stay home. Mask to protect yourself and others as necessary. Vaccinate if you are of the population that believes in vaccination. Don’t visit a clinic or hospital without a mask. Wash your hands and disinfect surfaces as necessary. If you have kids in school, protect them from infection because they will bring it home to you. If you don’t believe in any of this, you are entitled to your opinion. Just stay home if you are sick.
