Concord Police reported a number of arrests involving firearms, drugs, theft and other alleged offenses between Aug. 19 and Aug. 25, according to the department’s latest weekly reports. One of the more significant arrests occurred Aug. 21 near Hamilton Avenue and Dormer Avenue. Three people — two women, ages 44 and 41, and a 50-year-old man — were arrested in connection with the same case. Charges listed by police included possession of controlled substances for sale, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, carrying a concealed and loaded firearm, possession of a firearm without an identification mark, possession of a large-capacity magazine and possession of a stolen vehicle. The 44-year-old woman and 50-year-old man were also listed as prohibited persons allegedly in possession of firearms or ammunition. Another arrest occurred early Aug. 25 on Clayton Road, where a 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of mail theft, appropriating lost property and possession of burglary tools. Police also listed a felony charge alleging she brought a controlled substance into a jail or prison. On Aug. 23, a 27-year-old man was arrested on Adelaide Street on suspicion of felony sexual battery and annoying or molesting a victim under the age of 18, along with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct involving alcohol. Police also reported several DUI arrests during the week, including arrests near Willow Pass Road and East Street, Concord Boulevard and Landana Drive, Nicholas Drive and Tilson Drive, William Way and Florence Lane, and Monument Boulevard and Reganti Drive. Meanwhile, Concord Police received reports of burglaries at several locations, including rental storage facilities on Monument Boulevard, Arnold Industrial Place and Market Street; an auto dealership on Market Street; a commercial building on Galaxy Way; a residence on Clayton Road; and a locker room at Sunvalley Mall.
