Clerk Pulls Gun While 10 Suspects Attempt To Rob Estates Consignments On Contra Costa Blvd. In Pleasant Hill

The following statement is from Estates Consignments on Contra Costa Blvd. in Pleasant Hill:

Monday, December 11, at 4:32pm, 10 men with hoodies and sledgehammers arrived at Estates Consignment store in Pleasant Hill, in 2 cars (Infinity G35 white and Infinity G35 black).

They were helped by a lady in a striped dress from inside the store, who arrived in a Mercedes SUV with a large dent on the driver’s side, coordinating with them over the phone to plan the attack. She checked all the cameras in the store while constantly on the phone with the robbers.

At 4:32pm, she was trying to leave the store; she tried to keep the door open for the robbers to go inside. Our door is locked at all times during business hours and is opened for customers by our security guards. They realized that something is OFF, but they forced the door and entered the store. 6 of them ran all the way to the jewelry department to smash the cases, 2 were waiting at the door, threatening the security guard and 2 were waiting in the cars ready to take off.

Surprisingly, they were waited in the back with guns by the personnel, and they were chased out right away, without any damage to the showcases. Since they ran away immediately without any confrontation, no shots were fired.

The panic buttons were pressed immediately, and police showed up in about 30 seconds, right at the moment when they were jumping in cars and the pursuit started.

This is not an isolated case, just in the past 10 days, 3 jewelry stores were robbed in the same manner here around us, in San Ramon, Danville and Walnut Creek.

If you recognize any of these cars or any of the robbers, even if they were wearing ski masks, hoodies, gloves, please contact us or the local Pleasant Hill Police Department (Case number is 23-3973)

Just a small example of the results of a law abiding citizen who is ARMED. 2A. I would tell everyone to get their CCW, but come 1/1/2024, the State of California will no longer allow CCW in ‘sensitive’ places which will be just about 90% of this messed up state.

Same suspects as always, the sympathizers are the ones who enable this, these people steal from me they have killed my co workers they have assaulted my mother during a robbery, but so many people just scream social justice, I want society justice and more prisons built

You are so right and I sense your frustration. There’s actually a tremendous frustration out there in the public that mirrors what you said! But we’re being ignored- or our views and feelings being shut down when we’re called racist. But people are getting mad or madder at this and the politicians better listen especially those politicians with a “D” after their name, who seem to support the criminal and disdain the hobest,hard-working tax paying public.

Robbing and looting is how they celebrate Kwanzaa.

Unfortunately, they celebrate year round.

I appreciate the bravery of the armed store clerk/clerks.

All good people who want to carry a firearm should be allowed to carry it uninfringed.

Reason for carrying concealable.
Great response time from law enforcement.
More perps in a group, more leads, more confessions, turn on each other.
Big Holiday Cheer!

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the PHPDs response time. They already were responding since the Infiniti popped up on their license plate reader as stolen. Even though they were right behind them in the parking lot, they got away. I’m in favor of turret mounted, laser targeted 50 cals on police cruisers. (Obviously a joke ok).

Law enforcement did nothing to help. The perps were already on the run due to the ARMED CITIZEN. This gentlemen is showing the true purpose of the 2A. If more businesses carried, they number of scumbag thieves would go down. Right now, there is very little consequence for these lowlifes.

A beautiful sentiment indeed. However, in this state, I strongly suspect the entrepreneur defending themselves and their own would feel the heavy hand of the current department of justice come down on them, while idolizing the brave, gotta do what they are doing cuz they need to survive, room temperature thug, with perhaps marches, or invitations for mass looting. I fear it is going to get much worse before the good guys can feel like they are finally coming out ahead.

When it comes to valuables and employee Safety have to think like a criminal.
Suggestions they might want to consider.
Can see one robber yanking on door in video, remove handle on outside of door and install magnet lock with electric release. Would need approvals, fire dept. emergency egress concern.

ORIGINAL G,
.
I like man-trap doors, but they’re more expensive at $25,000.00 – $75,000.00 depending on what features they have. Two sets of doors with a metal detector in the center, the second door won’t open until the first door closes, and framed in bullet proof glass.

Yes, I’ve been through those doors several hundred times. It was actually because of the armed robbery and pistol whipping of employees at the old location across the street that the decision was made to install man-trap doors when they built the current building.

Yet additional confirmation,
If there is no threat of incarceration,
there is no deterrence to criminal behavior

Isn’t wonderful how DEMs have created things like zero bail, emptying prisons, woke DAs, made it harder for Police to charge criminals with Felonies and made personal drug use a misdemeanor that DAs don’t bother with.

ConcordRez December 15, 2023 - 10:00 PM - 10:00 PM

It is a terrible occurrence. I find the narrative difficult to understand; but, I’m glad everyone in the store is OK.

“They realized that something is OFF, but they forced the door and entered the store.” The burglars realized something was off but entered anyway?
“Surprisingly, they were waited in the back with guns by the personnel.” I don’t understand what this means. Perhaps the personnel were OK even though someone held guns to their backs.

Dr. Jellyfinger December 16, 2023 - 10:55 AM - 10:55 AM

I can’t help but wonder how seriously injured he would’ve been if he were to fire that revolver with his left hand next to the cylinder & why was he was holding it there anyway?
He wasn’t supporting his wrist or his grip. Very odd.
