BANK ROBBERY IN DOWNTOWN WALNUT CREEK
Walnut Creek Police are investigating a bank robbery that took place late this morning, May 6, 2023.
At 11:39 A.M., the Walnut Creek Police Department responded to PNC Bank at 1101 S. California Blvd. for a reported hold-up alarm.
Responding officers quickly determined a bank robbery had occurred in which the suspect passed a note demanding money and stating he had a gun. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. After an extensive area search, the suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6’1” to 6’2” tall, 180-200 pounds, wearing a black knitted cap, white facemask, sunglasses, black jacket, light colored pants, and white and blue shoes.
There were no reported injuries stemming from the robbery. The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash.
