He’s going to tell you why paying more to cross Bay Area bridges to save mismanaged public transportation is such a wonderful thing. Bend forward.

DEM party line to a large group of people who commute and have fat checkbooks.
Meantime people who can afford it continue to leave CA, roughly 300 per day.

Leaving California is the best way to relieve congestion.

To Do List July 6, 2023 - 5:12 PM - 5:12 PM

Just keep up Progressive Dem policies for a few more years and enough workers will flee the state that there will be no traffic congestion.

The Fearless Spectator July 6, 2023 - 5:47 PM - 5:47 PM

Perhaps they’ll discuss the righteous progress on the Newsom Cannonball train from Merced to Bakersfield, two of the lease desirable cities in California.
Is it high speed rail? No. Is it green? Heck no, it will be powered by diesel locomotives.
Next question………
Are bridges and toll roads racist? Only if they keep raising prices so they become cost prohibitive. So, if the Bay Area is the example, they certainly must be.
Next question……..
Why should I commute on BART? Because it’s the only way to save democracy and the planet from the dreaded climate change. Everyone knows that. How silly.
Next question…….
But what about all the crime and bums that make BART unsafe? If that stuff concerns you, you must be a racist………
Well, meeting adjourned. Help yourself to a fat free bagel on your way out.

This should be rich… someone that apparently has no clue about transportation or green energy will tell us how it will be done. “Can’t wait”
there real solution is simply make driving too expensive and you won’t do it too damn dumb to understand people will pay whatever it costs and simply not have the extra money to put back into the economy. single sided structures don’t work.

The only “job” he knows is kissing Aunt Nancy’s a$$.

He seems to do quite well at that.

He knows also that he has a lock on the voters in Richmond and parts of Antioch …..so why go there?

Concord74 July 7, 2023 - 12:04 PM - 12:04 PM

Why doesn’t he and others of his ilk hold town halls in the Iron triangle or the “Pueblo” in Pittsburg or in the lesser desirable area of Antioch??? Probably his security detail refuse to step in those areas – they don’t want to have to return fire!!
Waste of taxpayers time and money!

Glen223 July 9, 2023 - 7:11 AM - 7:11 AM

The 3 major railroad tracks in the area make up a rough triangle making the boundaries.

CONCORD74,
.
The “Iron Triangle” meeting can be held along the areas “Yellow Brick Road.”
.
I didn’t realize “El Pueblo” was still around. I thought Contra Costa County had made the decision to demolish the “El Pueblo” projects a decade ago. Public housing projects on the scale of “El Pueblo” and larger are “OUT,” while small scale public housing projects dispersed throughout middle-class suburban neighborhoods are “IN.”
