Why change American traditions and customs to satisfy a few? Too may holidays have been moved to weekends already, leave them where they belong. What’s next, Christmas? New Year’s Day? How about moving July 4th to a Monday? Leave our culture alone.

No because people go away or go out to dinner on the weekends and they won’t be home for the urchins.

Nah, …. I like that it’s just before Day of the Dead, …Nov 1st & 2nd.
They kind of complement each other in in a strange way.

Sure. Why not?
.
Then kids can stay up late(r) and fully participate without having to think about school the next day.

It’s not a holiday, people already move their parties to the weekend. Halloween is similar to Valentine’s Day, both over commercialized and unnecessary but fun when you’re young.

I hadn’t considered it until you asked, but no. Just doesn’t sit right. But feel free to drop day light saving any damn time at all. Enough with the clock nonsense.

I believe we all had voted to stop switching our clocks, but just like every time we vote on something, they don’t listen to the people.

No, it should always be October 31

Sandy G November 1, 2023 - 1:49 AM - 1:49 AM

No. Halloween is October 31st.
It’s like moving the 4th of July.

Anon November 1, 2023 - 5:32 AM - 5:32 AM

No, why must we change our traditions only because we are now living in a rat race word. How about society lets us slow down and enjoy the time with our family/friends/neighbors. I mean long ago it was not such a strain on time and money. Society/economics have destroyed a lot of things

Rise up other activists, this holiday, which creates a child dental emergency, must be banned. Take it off the calendar, ban all candy bowls and the act of giving candy to children to prevent the devastation of their dental health!!! Kidding, who cares what the activists want, it’s just their opinion. Keep it on 10/31.

The day after Halloween, November 1st needs to be a school Holiday! As a child I couldn’t understand why we had to go to school the next day.
