Light rain and thunderstorms are expected in the Bay Area through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Small hail, infrequent lightning, brief downpours, and wind gusts of more than 35 mph are also possible.
Thunderstorms that develop will need to be monitored because related heavy downpours could cause debris flows, according to weather officials.
Cold associated with the rain will likely bring snow to places as low as 3,000 feet above sea level. The highest peaks in the region could see some accumulation, including Mt. Diablo.
Dry conditions are expected late in the week, but temperatures will be cold overnight and into the morning.

Yeah sure, the flooding on our streets make it impossible to go anywhere. There needs to be a Shelter in Place and only those who must be out on the roads should be allowed until the end of this epic rainy season

Was out in the yard last night looking at the stars,…hum, no clouds or rain.
Just weeded half the garden today,….waiting for the rain to water it,….hum.
Guess I’ll wash the Jeep, then maybe it will rain.
They can’t accurately predict today’s weather, but they expect us to believe them when they predict global warming.
