Good to hear “vehicle code violations” are now a priority in Concord.
Hopefully the paper plates, 2017 registration and Fully Tinted Windshields are on that list!

Justin Fast October 2, 2022 - 6:12 PM - 6:12 PM

Even if it wasn’t a priority for Concord PD, you are safe with Mary Knox to prosecute these criminals.

Vote Mary Knox !!!!!

Ricardoh October 1, 2022 - 2:40 PM - 2:40 PM

Just think of how many guns they could get if they could just pull over suspicious looking people and search the occupants and vehicle. All the lives that would be saved. All the felons they could jail for carrying a gun.

Aunt Barbara October 1, 2022 - 4:21 PM - 4:21 PM

and search all vehicles with dark tinted windows!

Hayden Barsotti October 1, 2022 - 2:47 PM - 2:47 PM

See? This felon doesn’t follow the law about carrying a weapon. There should be more laws added to the books!!

WC Resident October 3, 2022 - 12:32 AM - 12:32 AM

No laws needed, just a quick dispatch, Tuscon style, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMVg7zkejXA

BWIZZLE October 1, 2022 - 2:54 PM - 2:54 PM

I guess his history was erased.
Hope he had his statue demolished too.

Hmmm October 1, 2022 - 3:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Thank you revolving-door “justice” system…
Another felon in possession, who could guess?

Badge1104 October 1, 2022 - 6:51 PM - 6:51 PM

…. And despite the wonderful work of the Concord Police department, I bet that a judge / DA’s office had already released this person and they’re already running around with another gun.

Tish Poinski October 3, 2022 - 12:19 PM - 12:19 PM

It must be very demoralizing for the police to have to repeatedly arrest these violent criminals only to have the judicial system turn them loose after a slap on the wrist and a couple cozy days in jail!

Stoptheinsanity October 1, 2022 - 3:01 PM - 3:01 PM

This should not surprise anyone.

James October 1, 2022 - 3:04 PM - 3:04 PM

No amount of gun control or money can stop this.
Only lock em up can.

Jeff October 1, 2022 - 3:13 PM - 3:13 PM

Notice that the suspect has already been arrested for similar crimes many times, likely he’s already out and securring his next gun. It’s The Wild West out there.

He must not be white or we would have a name and photograph of him on his worst day.

WC October 1, 2022 - 3:33 PM - 3:33 PM

Felon with a gun who isn’t supposed to have a gun.

Tell me how wonderful Gavin’s gun laws are again.

blueberry October 1, 2022 - 3:36 PM - 3:36 PM

Stop & Frisk. YES!!!

Original G October 1, 2022 - 3:44 PM - 3:44 PM

How interesting, CA has more restrictive firearms laws than most states yet number of firearms possessed by those on probation / parole and by convicted felons seems to be increasing.

Could it be that prison emptying DEMs have sent the message, CA is soft on crime ? ? ?

IF there is no threat of incarceration,
there is NO deterrence of crime.

deterrence
Use or possession of firearm by convicted Felon,
automatic 18 year Prison sentence served consecutive with any other sentence handed down.

Martinezmike October 1, 2022 - 4:13 PM - 4:13 PM

Tho I am not an expert, I doubt if such a handgun has a full auto switch.

Hmm October 1, 2022 - 6:09 PM - 6:09 PM

Unfortunately, you’re incorrect. You can see it on the back of the slide. Very easy to obtain or even manufacture yourself. Why should a felon in possession care if he’s breaking another law?

Only good news is, he probably couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn with a compact handgun with a silly switch!

Ricardoh October 1, 2022 - 6:20 PM - 6:20 PM

Can you make a Glock pistol fully automatic?
As a true fully automatic pistol the G18 is one of the most specialized GLOCK pistols. With an external fire selector at the rear of the slide you can switch from semi-automatic to full-automatic firing mode.

Janus October 1, 2022 - 7:00 PM - 7:00 PM

@ Martinezmike

They are called an “Auto Sear”. The BATF considers a firearm with an auto sear installed to be a machine gun which is worth up to 10 years of your life in Federal Prison…

Savagette October 1, 2022 - 5:13 PM - 5:13 PM

Felon in possession of a firearm being released from custody happens every day on CCC. You can see for yourself. Your jaw will drop when you see the crimes people are arrested for then release. Probation violation no longer exists and parole violation is rarely implemented. Dont take my word for it. See for yourself

Bluebird October 2, 2022 - 10:41 AM - 10:41 AM

Vehicle violations: does that include driving with a broken and shattered windshield, plastic for the back window and drivers side window, and no brake lights? Because I was behind a car like this. I managed to pass him and that’s how I saw the shattered windshield. I tried not to stare but good golly, that car belongs in the junk yard.

Chris October 1, 2022 - 5:59 PM - 5:59 PM

Diana Becton already released him.

Justin Fast October 2, 2022 - 8:41 AM - 8:41 AM

Vote Mary Knox, she’ll make sure the perp does LIFE. LOL

frank October 1, 2022 - 6:25 PM - 6:25 PM

Dear Concord PD . Nice work . Getting this clown off the street is
good for everyone.

Oh and by the way California law allows release of names of arrested people. You really shouldn’t keep this a secret.

Beans October 2, 2022 - 7:42 AM - 7:42 AM

This just reminded me that I need to get a gun.

Willis October 2, 2022 - 5:28 PM - 5:28 PM

They don’t tell their kids. Their kids will eventually find out as they grow older, and then must come to the realization that their parent is an idealog psychopath hell bent for creating crime, pain, suffering and chaos. They continue to collect their taxpayer paycheck to supplement their payment from Soros. Only until they’re on their deathbed will they possibly realize what they have done to this world.

Funny

The Mamba October 3, 2022 - 2:54 PM - 2:54 PM

Anyone else think that barrel looks bent upward? There’s no way that gun is accurate.

Dr. Jellyfinger October 3, 2022 - 6:14 PM - 6:14 PM

@ Mamba, it’s normal for some semi autos that are designed that way.

“Pistol barrel tilts up to facilitate reliable loading. Tilting of the barrel is required to align the chamber with the magazine to load a new cartridge”

I prefer wheel guns myself.

Rollo Tomasi October 4, 2022 - 2:38 PM - 2:38 PM

@The Mamba: Dr. J is right. Interesting if you look at the photo, the angle of the round in the top of the magazine matches almost exactly the angle of the barrel when the action is open.

Dr. Jellyfinger October 4, 2022 - 5:02 PM - 5:02 PM

Not to beat a dead horse, but this is pretty cool in slow motion!

@Dr. Jellyfinger….And revolvers don’t leave all the pesky empty brass that makes it easier to identify the gun. If you need more than 5 or 6 rounds to get you out of whatever the situation is you’re pretty deep in do-do anyway.
