Years ago, when I was living in an old Victorian house in the City. I was asleep in bed when I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a young woman in a white nightgown yawning and stretching her arms. The curtain on the window was slightly flowing as if the window was open, but it was closed. I thought I was dreaming and went back to sleep. The next day I was talking to a neighbor, an older man who has lived in his house for many years, and I told him about it. He told me that a young woman used to live there and was murdered by her boyfriend, who climbed through the window and shot her.

I Absolutely believe in ghosts!!! I worked at the Coroner’s office for many years and while sitting at my desk, black shadows would go by my desk on occasion. I was convinced after the 2nd time, there were ghost or spirits in that place. I would often make a kind or funny comment under my breath, just incase one of them was not friendly. LOL

Yes , and if it wasn’t for the fact there was another witness I wouldn’t have believed it myself.

… here’s what happened …. my brother and I were watching TV in the living room one evening about 6 months after our parents passed away. The house was quiet other than what was on TV. All of a sudden we both heard – at the same time – our father calling out to us from a back bedroom.. we were in shock, we both heard it, turned completely white, the hair on our arms was standing straight up…. we were scared but obviously extremely curious – we turned on all the lights, walked slowly towards the bedroom , and of course nothing was there…. windows were all closed that evening as it was still winter and cold… we both couldn’t sleep that night – we both heard it and knew it was the voice of our father… to this day we can’t explain it

I have witnessed abnormal activity but never paranormal activity. Actually I saw the ghost of the chicken we had for dinner last week though. It was running around the yard like a chicken with its head cut off. I need more sleep.

I was visited by The Hatman once when living off Pine Hollow Rd many years ago. A shadowy figure of a man wearing a Fedora came into my room when I was sleeping, woke me up and came toward the bed. I yelled out for my room mate and it quickly disappeared. Didn’t know about the Hatman until years later, but it was definitely a real experience. I was fully awake when I saw it.

Yep. On a break with 4 other employees. I saw a to go cup full of soda fly horizontally off a shelf and hit a wall 4′ away. Five of us saw it happen. That was way back in 1977. A couple of the girls started crying they were so freaked out by it.

Yep! Saw a gentleman in a suit walking through the store I worked at in downtown Walnut Creek during college. Turned around and he wasn’t there. We never had gentlemen wearing suits in the store ever.

Did a little digging and learned the building was a law office in the 60s. I hope in the whatever’s-after-this I’m not still doing my day job.

If you include the clairvoyant idea, there have been a few times I knew something I could not possibly have known. The examples are not that interesting except based on that, once I was with spouse and stopped on a deserted road in Hawai’i to get out to look at the stars, but everything in my mind started screaming at me to get out of there as fast as possible cause of danger. I did. There was no evidence of anybody or anything, but there was something, I know it.

Nevada has the most paranormal activity of any state. There are lots of occurance in Gold Hill, Virginia City and other places. There is a building in Carson City that has been many things in the past including a brothel. Most recently it was a vintage and local author book store (R.I.P. Morley) Any way Morley and his wife invited me to a small author reception when I first moved to town so I could meet more people. So when a book fell from a shelf and a glass of wine sitting by itself tipped they told me about an orphan boy that was taken in by the ladies of the brothel when his father was killed on a Wells Fargo run. About 18 months after he was taken in he died from pertussis. He is not angry but a typical mischievous little boy. Morley said that the stores dog and cat were super in tune with the little boy to the point the got a very contented “I’m veing petted” look on their faces at times
Also did a ghost hunt at the Gold Hill Hotel. Not much was going on that night as the readers only went off a couple of times. Sometimes they don’t want to “perform” for mortals.

I was on a path at Devil’s Den in Gettysburg speaking with another tourist. We heard someone coming up the gravel path and stepped aside to let them pass but there was no one there. The sound continued up the hill. We were the only two people there at the time. I was glad the other person was there to confirm I heard what I heard. Later, a Park Ranger said it was a common occurrence. I also heard cannon fire and thought it was a reenactment but again, was told there was no activity that day. I heard Gettysburg was haunted and given the horrendous deaths that occurred there, I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised.
