Black Birthing People? Jesus take me now.

Good thing it’s only a week.

Funny but when I called CCHS to explain to me what “birthing people” are, no one could explain and you could hear how uncomfortable they were when I asked. I also said “only women can give birth and can you tell me what a woman is”. I got transferred to 3 different females and not one answered me. One said that if a man identifies as a woman. I said then you are telling me that a man, now identifies as a woman suddenly has a uterus?” No response.

What about White, Latino, Chinese, etc Maternal Health Week? These types of events, promotions, etc. just promote racism.

Black women are three to four times more likely to die from complications surrounding pregnancy and childbirth.

That may be true; however, why exclude all the other pregnant moms?

Well the entire month of May is Maternal Health Month.

Is that not good enough for you? You are free to write up a proposal when ever you like.

Inclusion doesn’t mean Exclusion; unless you’re of a certain ilk…..

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” – MLK
.
Today everything seems to be viewed or analyzed based on race. MLK is rolling over in his grave. The leftist socialist progressive liberals are inherently racist… a dichotomy because it is exactly what MLK campaigned against.

Never mind, I looked it up myself. “Black, American Indian, and Alaska Native (AI/AN) women are two to three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women”
I checked around….. Injuns don’t get a Maternal Health Week… I don’t want to play the race card here but, well ….. it is what it is.

You sure it couldn’t have something to do with what this article is about.

“History of Women’s Participation in Clinical Health Trails”

“Inclusion Becomes Law
Between 1989 and 1993, inclusion of women in clinical research was NIH policy, but it was not law. In 1993, Congress wrote the NIH inclusion policy into Federal law through a section in the NIH Revitalization Act of 1993 (Public Law 103-43) titled Women and Minorities as Subjects in Clinical Research.17”

I mean, if we didn’t have good data to pull from about women’s health in general…

You don’t have to takey word for it either.
https://orwh.od.nih.gov/toolkit/recruitment/history#:~:text=Inclusion%20Becomes%20Law&text=In%201993%2C%20Congress%20wrote%20the,as%20Subjects%20in%20Clinical%20Research.

The frightening thing is, this is THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, not the DVC college socialists. These are the same people that arrogated to themselves the power to shut down all of society and lock us in our homes over the totally unstoppable Covid virus. Our health authorities are totally subservient to the neo Marxist woke cult. Remember “racism is a public health crisis?” Remember how protesting/rioting in the streets for Saint Floyd didn’t spread covid, but protesting these VERY SAME PEOPLE locking you down was dangerous? Remember how health authorities, all the way up to the Biden administration, wanted to give the Vax to “POC” first, regardless of who was at the highest risk, in the name of “equity?” Litterally saying it was OK if white people at a higher risk died while waiting for it, while giving the vax to someone at lower risk, simply because of skin color.

CCC Department of Health, you guys are frauds, and I will never listen to anything you say again.

Get real.

Wage Slave April 13, 2023 - 12:37 PM - 12:37 PM

Way to take the one peice of obvious hyperbole and ignore the substance of everything else I said.

They arbitrary shut down businesses, they canceled school for like a year, they forced your kids to wear useless masks, and pressured people to stay home, not to see family and loved ones. People were made to die alone, and they robbed family of the opportunity to greive together by banning funerals. They closed churches against the 1st ammendment while leaving cannabis clubs open. And you can bet your rear they absolutely would have locked you in your home if they could have gotten away with it.

But they didn’t quite cross that line, so no big deal, right?!

Societies do change. This is not organic, though. This is like freaking pod people taking over. Woke freaks are wearing the health department skin like Vincent Dnifrio from Men in Black.

They took the one uncontroversial and necessary item, the higher maternal mortality of black American mothers, and coated it in a loony toons ball of woke crazy.

Now, instead of having a proper conversation about a serious topic, everyone is distracted by the insane made-up nonsense they soaked up from Tumblr. What the h*** us wrong with these people?

This reminds me of the special interest groups formed and posted on the John Muir Health internal Intranet site, by the “Belonging and Equity” team. Asian, Latino, African American, LGBT, but no Caucasian group. Last time I checked, Latinos are 39% and Caucasians 35% on the population in California. All this does is divide us and cause animosity.

CCHS is run by activists disguised as public health professionals.

We learned that over and over during the pandemic. From George Floyd, to picking down which businesses to destroy, to forcing people to show paperwork to access basic services.

I’m done with these people, and would spit in their face.

They deserve NO respect.

The National Women’s Law Center study reports 35% of Black US single households are at or below poverty level. You want to discuss REAL STRESS? There it is.

Wage Slave April 11, 2023 - 5:15 PM - 5:15 PM

There’s nothing wrong with bringing attention to a higher health risk among any given ethnicity. Black Americans are also at higher risk of heart disease, and it’s worthwhile, as well as in the purview of the health department, to make people aware and let them know of resources to remedy it.

I have no problem with that part. It’s all the lunatic “birthing persons” and “centering black joy” wokeness that worries me. “Centering” in this context, is right out of CRT. To create “equity” and social justice, they have to “de-center” whiteness, heteronormativity, yadda yadda.
None of that political garbage should have any place in a public health organization. Can you imagine if they said “in order to Make America Great again, make sure you get your prostate exam when you turn 40”?

You do not want to challenge the reference to “Black Maternal Health” as you will be termed a racist!! Now the corrupt Demos and left-wingers need all the illegal votes and even incarcerated blacks to be sure to vote for their candidates such as Bonta, Weenie-Weiner, Newscum, Lee, etc….!
There is no easy out unless you get rid of these miscreants! But the down side is that we will not have idiots to complain about! Most of the poster on this subject are negative towards this so-called forum. We do not want anymore of the very people that commit more crime than any other ethnic group! Look in the mirror every time there are shootings – drivebys or otherwise!

10
Local mother April 12, 2023 - 11:06 AM - 11:06 AM

What if it’s regarding a specific problem that affects one group disproportionately? Why is it such a big deal to set aside one measly week to focus on exploring causes and solutions to a specific issue?

I agree that the “birthing person” terminology is ridiculous, and the “centering Black Joy” phrasing is also highly indicative of a political ideology that I’m not a fan of. But I can’t believe the number of commenters here displaying such uninformed, knee-jerk cries of “racism!”. Get a grip, people.

2
19
parent April 12, 2023 - 4:39 PM - 4:39 PM

And I cannot believe the small number of people who buy into ‘birthing people’ or who are okay with singling one race to be recognized/penalized. By definition, if you are singling out one group, you are excluding others. If you are rewarding one group, you are penalizing others. And how do you define racism? I define racism as discriminating against a particular group of people for not belonging – sounds kinda like what the Health Department is doing …

But then again Local Mother, we are all entitled to our own opinions.

Chris April 13, 2023 - 8:46 AM - 8:46 AM

Is it just me or WTF is going on? 13% of the U.S. population is black, but by looking at tv commercials it seems like it’s about 80%. I a lot of blacks, some mixed families and of course the LGBTQRSTU+++. It almost seems like the advertising executives must be taking their orders from the White House on what color of person to show in its upcoming commercials. Maybe they are making up for past commercials that were not inclusive enough. This is the new biden America.
