The California Highway Patrol on Monday released information about a shooting that occurred on a highway in Concord on Christmas Day.

A man in his 20s from Pittsburg reported the shooting that occurred around 7:15 p.m. last Wednesday as he drove his black Nissan Altima on eastbound state Highway 4 from northbound state Highway 242, according to the CHP.

The man, the sole occupant in the Nissan, suffered minor injuries to his hand and shoulder, possibly as a result of debris or shrapnel from the gunfire. He reported seeing someone shooting at him from the left rear window of a sedan, but the CHP did not release any other description of the suspect or vehicle.

What’s happening to our community? You can’t drive on the freeways at least not near Pittsburg or Antioch; you can’t take BART anymore bc it’s just not safe. What is happening?

What is happening is that California is more and more having a government and liberal population that believes in supporting, defending and encouraging criminals and crimes.

Apparently not near Concord either..

California voters have been asking for this for several years. You can’t continually vote in “soft on crime” politicians, who’s goal it is to reduce penalties for crime and release criminals back onto the streets, and then cry about it when you’re victimized.

You get what you get California. Suck it up and get used to it. This is your new norm until you wake up!

Where are the cameras we were promised at this stretch of the freeway since the last freeway shootings?

Anyone remember in the late 1980s, that female DJ who was driving on Hwy 4 in her pickup truck & was shot & paralyzed?

What was her name & did they catch the person who shot her?

nytemuvr – Good research. She ended up passing away not too long ago. Terrible that she was only 22 y/o & paralyzed from her neck down.

Add it to the other 100+ unsolved shootings.

Marky……How come we never hear from Mark DeSaulnier regarding important issues like this? He loves to spout off with virtuous and politically themed letters telling us what an outstanding job he’s doing..

Because Pelosi hasn’t told him to “issue a statement” yet.

Remember, Mark is not known for taking on a tough issue. He’s limited to what Nancy tells him to do – and only if he can’t step on his crank in doing so….

Good point, Fred. Perhaps one of these days he’ll be voted out. He’s a cancer on the bay area and things are starting to metastasize. I place the BART board of directors in the same category as him. He’s more concerned with activism rather than protecting the good people.

The only person to blame for this incident is the perpetrator. No one can control who is going to carry out a crime except for the criminal himself.
As far as politicians in Sacramento being soft on crime, and putting us all in danger even more, the Democrats are definitely to blame as is the voters in California who keep putting them in office. This crime is not the type of crime they are talking about being soft on. This is not a misdemeanor crime, it is a felony!

This is a Antioch situation, pass this over to Antioch PD
