As always, when it is raining and the roads are wet, please slow down and drive with caution. At this time, the city provided sand and sand bag stations have been completely depleted.

I call bull on the sand bag “depletion”. And in no way is my comment meant to be directed to PHPD. Our police force provides beyond excellent community policing. It is meant for the PH City Council and City Staff.

Jim and I drove around today in search of a sand bagging station in PH. All .. ALL … Of the sand bag sites mentioned on the city’s website were void of any sandbag material, or evidence that any was there recently. No sandbag station signs, no pallets, no leftover sand or bags. Nada. All of the PH sites that we could get (Poets’ Corner was flooded) showed zero indication of any sand bag stations ever put in place there this year. Zero. And we had plenty of company of other vehicles looking for a station .

Huge failure from the City of PH. PH residents deserve better. Way better.

You are completely wrong. There was many bags and sand still available at 6:30pm behind the PH Police Station. At least 15 people there getting sand when I left.

By the crowds at Ace Hardware today buying up and fighting over flashlights, batteries, sump pumps sand etc… it amazes me how unprepared people are.

OMG! Everything is underwater!

Too bad the old time & temperature tower in front of Montgomery Wards is gone… that would be sticking up out there so we could get our bearings.

Thank you for posting this info last night CLAYCORD. That was quite a storm. They were saying over 10″ of rain on Mt. Diablo.
