A Smash & Grab robbery occurred at Sunvalley Mall in Concord today.
The suspect broke display cases with a hammer at Sam’s Jewelers just after 11 a.m. and stole jewelry.
The suspect was possibly armed with a gun, and had a mask covering his face. He is a tall, unknown race male, according to police.
He was last seen running through Macy’s.
UPDATE: Police say the man is a light skinned black male adult, about 6’0″ wearing all blue clothing.

Deduct the loss from proposed reparations….
That actually made me think: If reparations end up being paid they should deduct from them restitution for all the criminal acts committed, plus all the government benefits ever paid out should be deducted. That’s only fair

I can tell you I’m the last few weeks we caught 2 shoplifters at my work place, they were white. Not always the case, but not always a certain race.

Of what race do you suspect the robber is?”

I remember listening to Brian Copeland when he had a show on KGO radio, he said everytime there were a some criminal activities l prayed it was not perpetrated by someone black, because he knew he would be blamed as well. That just isn’t fair. I get the feeling several posters here take pleasure when a crime can be blamed on a certain segment of the population.

Correction, I’m NOT making excused for the robber. I didn’t answer your question, because I honestly don’t know the answer. Again it seems many posters here find pleasure when a crime it committed by blacks, but have trouble acknowledging that are many upright honest black people. That is my objection. Certainly everyone that have a business, deal with customers, or work in a place with a fair amount of employee’s come in contact with honest people of every race.

It is easy to find out who is responsible for this. Every liberal progressive Democrat voter in this state is responsible. They like this so much they will vote for it again.
I’m amazed this happened at 11:00 a.m. in the morning! Usually thugs seem to like night time opportunities. What do you want to guess though this guy has done this several times before and has not gone to jail but instead has been left to run around and victimize the good people in society. It’s time we start locking people up again! This surely ain’t working the way it is now. Yet I’m absolutely amazed and shocked how the democrat leaders and officials excuse this. That’s what struck me first, the time of day. I haven’t been there since December, but when I go, I’m there when the doors open and I’m out by noon. I always thought that was the safest time to go, which it probably still is, but then, who knows anymore?
Just put “Hammer Free Zone” signs up and the problem will be solved!

Punishment should be the same as beating someone with a hammer. Also should be attempted kidnapping and terrorism for holding the employees under threat of harm.

One would think by now jewelry stores could have bullet proof/smash proof glass in those jewelry cases so as not to shatter at all.
And back to Vallejo they go…. Where no cops will chase u over 5mi and every tinted window car has a gun….
I don’t trust any driver/occupant that has all tinted windows. Tinted windows are for people who want to act like Aholes and not be seen.
knowing this happens whenever people let their guard down… Mall security needs to hang by this jewelers instead of hiding out. Working or shopping at that run down mall is too high risk these days. It used to be a fun mall to visit with kids. Now it’s a danger just walking to and from your car.
They need to figure out a way to have the back room fortified where the employees can lock themselves in and then have an iron curtain drop over the store entrance so the thief is trapped until the cops arrive. Even if they aren’t prosecuted, they’ll get no merchandise so maybe they’d stop trying.
