…..drains resources that otherwise would be used for law abiding legal residents, local city projects and probably infrastructure improvements and finally getting to the “deferred maintenance” items put off many years due to issues like this

Are you kidding me.We should be supporting retired people who worked all there lives paving the way for US Citizens futures. No we have to pay for our own medical our own food and housing. But let’s keep bringing in illegals who get it all for free. This country has gone to hell.

Agreed it shouldn’t go to illegals but, the retired should have prepared better for their retirement. It shouldn’t be the working people who are responsible for looking after them, because they wanted to spend all their money and not save. I’m sorry but this is America, it’s every man for himself. They could always get part time work or something like that.

I believe it is put a strain on our resorts.
We already have a large problem finding affortable housing for those already living here.
It use to be that if you immigranted to the US
you had to have a sponsor so you wouldn’t be a strain on the resorts of our country.
Only in a few case were you allowed in without a sponsor not the millions we are allowing to enter now.
This has to stop. We basically have no working border. This is more like a invasion.
JUST SAY !

I could write an essay on this topic. But to keep things short and sweet, illegal immegration drains the resources and puts strain on the local communities. Especially the southern communities.

You clearly are not a professor. I have several in my family and there’s absolutely no way they can limit themselves to “I could write an essay on this topic” followed by two short and clear sentences. You may want to brush up on English language grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Too many to list, but I’ll start with overwhelming our schools and healthcare facilities, and increased use of our natural resources. I just read about the high number of pedestrians being killed, and I couldn’t help but wonder how many of them were illegals who aren’t used to navigating so much traffic.
The libs are always telling us how illegals do the work that Americans will not do, like picking crops. That’s total BS, because it doesn’t take 15 million illegals to pick crops, which by the way, are mostly done with modern technology and machinery. Illegal invaders create unfair job competition in the labor market, which forces more American citizens out of work and into poverty, which will add to the homeless population. Many illegal invaders aren’t paying any income taxes because they are being paid in cash. Then there’s the language barrier, which is forcing more employers to hire multilingual employees, and that is simply not fair to Americans that only speak English. In short, illegal invaders do more harm than good and hurt our economy, and American workers.
There’s so much more that I can add, but I don’t have the time, and I’m sure other commenters will cover what I didn’t.

Yes, well said, Dawg!
and I know Americans who did not get jobs because they could not also speak Spanish.
Isn’t it odd that we excuse others for not speaking English but now we’re penalizing Americans for not speaking Spanish!

It is unsustainable. Our country is going to hell in a hand basket. On purpose to destroy it to rebuild it the way the elites and globalists want. Sad, and I know what is was like many decades ago, and it is not better.

When you come through the legal channels as an immigrant which takes anywhere from a year if you marry a US citizen, to about 12 years if your petition is through a parents or brother/sister you must have a sponsor. When you turn yourself in at the border seeking refuge, you must also have a sponsor, unless you have no relatives here and you go through a legal system to see if you are eligibleto stay, this is when inmigrants just go incognito because they know at some point they will be sent back if they really have no proof as to why they seeking refuge. But you must know that most of illegals come through the border illegally, so there is no record of them ever entering, yet they can still apply for all the low income services this country offers and they have no sponsor on file.

So sad.
The word is out.
There’s a whole industry supporting the trip migrants have to take to get here.
Many die along the way (that includes children).
Biden could stop it with the stroke of a pen.
“Enforce all immigration laws on the books.”
We’ve watched many Youtube videos documenting the path to get to our southern border.
Very informative.
I suggest you all watch some of the videos. They are eye opening.
When you have a leak, you immediately stop the flow. Then you work on a solution to repair the leak.
( We have that solution but we are not using it. It’s called Legal Immigration.
This is a drain on every resource we use.
Charities are overwhelmed.
Healthcare will only be getting busier.
Much more “free stuff” out there that “someone” pays for.
I believe this is one of the reasons our infrastructure is not being maintained properly.
All of the above comments hit it on the nail too.

I hope I don’t have to find out firsthand, like going to a short-staffed hospital because all the illegal immigrants can now get medical services.

While Driving in Downtown W.C Today I saw my first Pair of Illegals walking around Broadway Plaza with Backpacks and Carryon’s in hand that looked like they traveled a million miles.
Buckle Up Buckaroo’s. This is going to get Worse…

Just know illegals will never feel like they can walk around freely with backpack and carryons to not raise suspension. You must have seen tourist immigrants!

Exit 12A January 26, 2024 - 3:52 PM - 3:52 PM

.
If all illegal aliens in CA were deported, doing so would free up upwards of 750,000 residential units.
.
Illegals aren’t supposed to be here.
.
PERIOD.

Deporting them does not fix anything, as they comeback a week later through the border, the same illegal way again.

Bobo January 26, 2024 - 4:33 PM - 4:33 PM

Biden is a idiot how do you see the problems these people are causing and not do anything to stop it. All you hear about is the housing crisis, yet he has let 8 million more in. Thats like seeing your bank account at zero and spending more. Oh forgot he’s doing that to . Last i seen 32 trillion in debt, guess he figures he’ll be dead by the time the dollar collapses.

Know the real agenda behind it. They want to replace YOU with low paying immigrant slaves (serfs). Very heinous and those behind it belong prison or more. That’s why the country is falling apart right now because they want too.

14

your neighbor the immigrant January 26, 2024 - 10:57 PM - 10:57 PM

You are correct, they will replace you! But see, they are encourage to work by your government. Illegals with no social security number who earn money can still do taxes at the end of the year. IRS will give you what is call an ITIN# so you can file. If a reform is approved where they will be given a path to become legal, the taxes they have been filing for years using this ITIN# will be the best proof on how long they have been here in the US and that even if illegal they had the best intentions by paying taxes. So it is a win win for the illegal.

Just Saying January 26, 2024 - 5:36 PM - 5:36 PM

Every undocumented person ( illegal alien) I have talked to is sending money back to their home country , and that money is not staying in our local economy. It tends to run down local businesses because the money is not spent here. I wish the government had to tell us how much they are spending per year on illegal aliens in California. I think we would be shocked. I am realizing how our politicians do not follow the laws that are on the books and there’s nobody to police them or stop them or hold them accountable and when I say, hold them accountable, I don’t mean vote them out of office I mean, put them in jail.

Sounds like they actually care about their families. We could learn something from that. Generational wealth is an important part of being a loving family member.

We are far too selfish here – and people have zero compassion for their forgotten families – and “disown” and “disinherit” their own flesh and blood – just because they don’t like how that member has voted. Maxine Waters, the Vuew, and Maddow all make a lot of money selling hate.

We are under weapons grade psy-ops and mass media mind control in USA.

I find people from other countries have much we can learn from about love and respect and care for parents, children, and their families. They work together – and help each other get through life.

It is a kind of existential agony here in USA – “stress” is used to push agendas (that seek to divide us) – and seperate us from our family money.

It’s sad and depressing how far we have fallen, and how family treat each other now.

The Fearless Spectator January 26, 2024 - 6:02 PM - 6:02 PM

The impact is exactly what the Biden administration wants it to be: Terrible.
Why else would they go to war with Texas over some barriers?
They not only want it to continue, but to accelerate.

Local communities? In the 3 years since idiot biden rescinded the border wall and any enforcement of border security, roughly the equivalent of the state of Arizona has illegally come across the border. There are about 12 states that have a population larger than the number of illegals who have crossed under biden. The equivalent of a large state has now invaded. Plenty of comments above describe some of the impact. The impacts are broad, and the impacts (virtually all negative) are dramatic. Something I did not see mentioned above, that impacts, the prevalence of fentanyl, at least according to stories. The blatant attempt at destruction of this great Republic by the socialist/leftist democrats is indeed very sad. I find solace in that there, in this community smack dab in nuttiville, has a fair number of logical thinking citizens (many above).

Real Talk January 26, 2024 - 7:26 PM - 7:26 PM

I know a senior in the community that went to an ER in WC (by ambulance) and was left on a gurney in a hallway for 6 hours waiting to be seen! Never offered water and was not able to use a restroom if needed in that 6 hours. They said that other people on gurneys were also just parked along the narrow hallway and left to wait. Stories like this will become the ‘new norm’ from the impact.

nytemuvr January 26, 2024 - 9:53 PM - 9:53 PM

@REAL TALK…..I can “beat” that. I went to the ER in a Sacramento hospital last year. I would estimate that 80%+ waiting to see a doctor didn’t speak or understood English, they looked as though they were aliens. I spent 3 hours waiting to see a doctor and then put on a gurney for the next 10 hours in a hallway. I did get a meal and water in that time. When they finally had a room available for me I was taken to it. After I was situated in the room I wheeled around the floor to to see half the beds weren’t occupied. Virtually all the “doctors” that were taking care of me barely spoke English and didn’t understand things I was trying to relate to them about my medical problems. It was a horrible ordeal that I hope not to repeat.

Atticus Thraxx January 26, 2024 - 7:46 PM - 7:46 PM

I agree that we’re only as secure as our borders and that the influx of humanity pressing against the one to our south is heartbreaking and unacceptable. But practically speaking, 1300 miles is a logistical and engineering challenge on the Great Wall of China level. Incredibly expensive to establish and maintain. And whatever we do and whoever does it, is gonna be writing big-assed checks to Mexico in our name. It all sucks.

They wall is not the solution. I have heard so many stories on how people get here illegal through the legal channels.

Reasonable January 27, 2024 - 7:49 AM - 7:49 AM

Let me see…. In the spirit of detante, why not hire North Korea to secure our border. How many people are successful crossing their borders? Those caught can be sent to N Korea for rehab.

Bill Cutting January 27, 2024 - 8:37 AM - 8:37 AM

We need e-verification on every job in the country anybody caught hiring or aiding and abetting an illegal gets 25 years in prison and all assets seized. That includes politicians openly, allowing it/encouraging it. We have laws on the books for traitors apply it. There’s also a couple of congressional acts I would love to null and void. We were never asked if all these people could come here the last 60 years. We had good immigration policies on the books until 1925 and the worst 1965. By the way, the melting pot slogan is falsely parroted . It was written by a foreign national. We can create a lot of jobs by making a big task force to remove these people. We need unity amongst all Europeans here at this point because this is all directed at us and replacing us. Time for us to start being ethnocentric and exclusive. Dems want to get all the positions to power and push us out thru breeding then we move according and steamroll them out of power for good. Anyone that’s a Democrat is anti-white at this point
