Can you believe the idiot we have for a governor. Years ago we voted to keep the death penalty and have it informed and used, when he became governor he on his own accord did away with it. Now he wants to take Dan Quentin prison and transform it into more of a treatment center than a prison and do away completely with death row. I know I am sick of crime in our cities, but now to have he coddle these people is beyond belief. We need rid of him and the democrats that have ruined this state with there policies and programs and along with there tax and spend method of operation that has put this state deeper in the red.

On the Right wing side of things I go to FOX news daily, the National review most days, I listen to Hannity at least an hour a day even though he makes we want to barf. I’m all over the Radio, Levin, Savage, Armstrong and Getty and more. I listen to and read both sides so I can make up my own mind.Oh, and I’ve never watched the View, not my thing but thanks for asking.

Here is what scares me this week politically.
If Trump is arrested on Tuesday like he is suggesting, we will see far right and far left folks battling it out. Trump is calling for protests all ready and I am waiting for Newscum and Biden to announce their actions if the riots start.
I do not like Newsom or Biden. I think Trump was better for the U.S., but if he is calling for protests, I do not think Trump has our best interest at heart. And I think Newsom and Biden (and others) will make rash knee jerk decisions which will hurt us as much as any protest. I agree with almost all of you post. Antioch boomed in the early 2000s as they knocked down orchards and threw up neighborhoods. Prior to 2008, the city was funded by speculators with neg-am mortgages. The easy money and ridiculous mortgages literally allowed janitors and waitresses to buy multiple homes to flip or rent out.
At the time, Antioch was very pro section 8 housing (might still be). A high percentage of the renters fell under section 8. What happened next was that Antioch essentially imported the best and brightest from Richmond. So you had nice neighborhoods and brand new homes infected with renters who (mostly) had no idea how to be good neighbors. These imported bad apples were sprinkled all over Antioch (and Brentwood) and ruined the whole barrel. Then ’08 happened and the music stopped. I know this because I lived there from ’96-’08 and made the move to Clayton when the murders started getting closer to my home. So yes, I agree with almost your whole post.
Where you lose me is on the location for the Chick-fil-A location. That spot used to be a Big 5 sporting goods. When they closed shop, there was an empty building in a prime location for fast food. Easy in, easy out. Plenty of parking. Right off of the freeway and on a main road. That whole strip mall is dripping with many fast food and casual dining restaurants. C-F-A was a logical choice for a restaurant and the empty Big 5 building was a very logical location.
Was there wokeness that made C-F-A “cross the road”? Maybe. But I think that the real reason was that it was a perfect setup for a new restaurant to locate there and C-F-A acted first.
Entire shopping center from movie theater, target, etc all the way up to and including Chick-fil-A is in Pittsburg city limits. Was told very interesting story about six years ago of how all that land and sales tax revenue ended up within Pittsburg city limits. Won’t repeat it because only have that single source.

Unsure why Chick-fil-A picked Pittsburg over antioch. Wouldn’t mind getting the story, perhaps later this summer will go up and ask some old timers I know.
I think I spelled out why they chose Pitt over Antioch. There was an available building in a prime location for a fast food chain, and it just happened to be in Pitt.

It shouldn’t be that difficult to trace the fourth payment. The bank records will show who was paid and to which account the $ went into. Simply subpoena the receiving bank and demand to see who owns the account. Now the fourth payment may have gone into an entity like a LLC or partnership, but then you look at the ownership structure of the LLC and you grill them. Better yet, get Tony Bobulinski to explain the structure of the LLC in public testimony before the House. Follow the money and you will eventually find out who “the big guy” is.
Another thing that should be done is to go over Hunter, Jim, and Hallie’s taxes and see if they declared the income. Tax fraud has teeth if the prosecution is persistent. That’s how they finally got Al Capone.
