It’s official! Concord High School’s mascot is now the Bears.
They voted to change the mascot a few months ago after some argued their previous mascot, the Minutemen, wasn’t appropriate.
The new sign was recently installed.

I, for one, am glad to finally see a school honoring the sacrifices made by bears to free our country from the tyranny of British rule

And in 20 years the nut job liberals will cancel the bear because of its aggressive nature and they will claim it makes students feel unsafe and schools accross the country will be providing safe rooms for student to isolate themselves. I went to concord high never once did the mascot ever even cross my mind other than reminding me who they were. #liberalismisamentaldisorder

What was the beef with “Minutemen?”
The council felt it was degrading to males who premature the sack. hee hee hee.
“They” being the MSUSD board, which opted to re-vote after a tie vote with at least one “not present”.
Two members do not participate in the Pledge of Allegiance, and at least one has gone on record stating the need to address “white parents”.
Defund and homeschool.
Pathetic is what this is. Liberal lunacy.

Show a little respect people. That bear fought for our right to be a free democracy. What a stirring tribute to the Battle of Concord, Massachusetts, when a tiny faction of Bears fought off the British soldiers from the most advanced, highly trained army in the world at that time. Bears sacrificed to create a world where you can serve on a school board and no absolutely nothing about actual history! Go Bears

In Concord MA and Lexington MA you will find Minuteman High School, Concord-Carlisle High School Patriots, and Lexington High School Minuteman
The MDUSD board is a collection of Left Wing extremists who shouldn’t be allowed near a school.
Obviously their intention is to pay homage to non-binary bears.
VOTE OUT MDUSD Governing Board Trustee for Area 5 and Board President Erin McFerrin and MDUSD Governing Board Trustee for Area 3 Keisha Nzewi when they run for reelection this November.

How long will it be before the MDUSD Governing Board Trustees decide that the Mt. Diablo High School Red Devils and Danny the Devil must be retired and replaced for being “offensive” and “non-inclusive,” as they’ve done with the Concord High School Minuteman and the Ygnacio Valley High School Warriors?

When Concord High comes knocking at my door for the band. My wallet will be closed. This is a waste of money that could have been used for better things. As Ranger Rick says in Jelly Stone Park ( Don’t feed the Bears ) $$$$.
I don’t know who’s softer, the people who wanted the change or the people whining about it.
no way adults are arguing about a school that they either didn’t attend Concord High or did but in the 1900’s. Life ain’t fair what’s done is done. And not supporting Concord High because of the mascot change is downright immature.
