Are those removable rubber speed humps in the picture? Since this appears to be a new 4-way intersection it appears that those speed humps, which appear to be removable rubber speed humps, may be removed in the future once sufficient time has passed for residents to become used to the 4-way stop, and then be reused on other streets. How much did the installation of these new stop signs, speed humps, and fresh paint cost the City of Pleasant Hill?
.
The Pleasant Hill Police Department should know that the City of Pleasant Hill installed “speed humps,” and not “speed bumps.” Cities tend to now only install “speed humps” in residential areas because “speed bumps” are made of a harder material and causes more noise for residents and home owners, which has been deemed undesirable by most cities. Unfortunately, speed humps don’t slow people down as much as speed bumps do, hopefully the stop signs will get travelers to actually stop.

That intersection is W/B Viking Drive at S/B Ruth Drive which is one block west of DVC, CPHS and VV Elementary.

It has been a 4-way controlled intersection with traffic control devices (stop signs) for at least +35 years.

BLUE KNIGHT,
.
The information from the Pleasant Hill Police Department only said they were new signs, it didn’t mention the signs being replacements.

So noisy for homeowner, and hey you greenies, when a car comes to almost a stop ,then has to gas it to get over the bump, then drive away is when the car emits the most emmisions, polluting these streets like never before, great for pets and people.,They just dont care.
Creating chaos,IE making people sick in the name of safety is the govt tried and true psychosocial ploy done by authoritarians

Yellow and black… are these considered “colored” speed bumps?
They don’t match the intersections.
