Healthcare for everyone should be the number one priority. Many issues are connected to lack of access to healthcare – from crime to quality of life in neighborhoods to bankruptcy in the United States to homeless veterans.
We are providing the military industrial money laundering scheme “free” military action in Ukraine and sending “free” baby-killer bombs to Israel. Much more useful to the US to spend that money on our own healthcare.
You know who else gets “free” healthcare? People in Ukraine and Israel. Why should we pay for the healthcare of people in other countries?

Of course, the comments that free health care is not free are true. In my native Denmark we have national health care (socialized medicine), however since sometime in the seventies, private insurance has been available to those who want to and can afford to pay for it. If you have pre-existing conditions, you cannot buy private insurance. As for the free no, it is not, taxes are high, but if you don’t have to worry about huge medical bills, and also education (which pretty much is free as well) you don’t need to save as much for retirement. No system is perfect, however in Denmark, EVERYONE is covered, and since you don’t get your health insurance through your employer, people are free to change job or start a business and keep their health insurance. Perhaps there’s a reason Denmark is consistently voted one of the happiest countries in the world. That I believe that also has to do with that we are a very small country, thus families tend to live close to each other and in general are very close.
I’m not advocate the same system in the US, but there certainly could be some improvement on the system we have now. It is too expensive, tend to be cumbersome/

What the H**L does the “ Fairness Doctrine” have to do with the unbiased media? BTW that was an FCC rule not a “Law”. Bring it back and all you do is give cover to the biased media that now exists. America and Americans first, if there is anything left then next in line. Nothing wrong with Nationalism as long as you are not a jerk about it. Greatest country on earth needs to remain the greatest. It has to be “pay yourself first” or you will have nothing left to give, borrowing money to give to others is no way to moral,social or financial prosperity….. but everyone knows this.
Unfortunately, the state the latest administration has let this country in, there cannot be a #1 priority. There are a few top priorities, including illegal aliens invading our nation (deportation/border close down), federal spending (leading to unmanageable inflation), build up of defense, reduction in power of the government. What has been nice is to see the uptick in Patriotism again. The (once free) citizens are no longer afraid of the consequences of supporting America. You can almost feel a lifting of the strangle the current party in power had had on the average citizen.
Thumbs up to the sensible comments ahead of me. I’d like to choose just one of those. The Border and Deport all? Yes, but fix other things, be firm, and the Border may fix itself — at least back to tolerable. Then there’s Inflation? Lower incomes can’t buy homes, food is too expensive. Getting by is rough! — However~~those who work hard and save even a teeny-tiny bit, even through the hardest times… they are finally earning some income/rewards from their diligent saving. (if they’re smart).

–NO Elected Office Holder (or their spouse) can lobby for or go to work for any company that has benefited from contracting with the government– for at least 10 years. Make it a rule and part of their oath of office. And back it up with…NO company that has hired an ex-elected official to lobby or lead…can get another government contract for at least 10 years. BOOM!

Taking the LEADERSHIP, of showing the rest of the World, our most important issue of the day is to prevent the future warming of our planet. Within the past 2 years, we have reached heat levels worldwide that were never experienced before by our own species. Our oceans are dying, our diverse species are dying as thousands of migrants struggle to leave the Global South because of Climate Change, and the the colonial acts of the Global North, seeking their resources. The technology of Green Energy is here today, but the Fossil Fuel Industry fights tooth and nail to continue…business as usual…and they have even admitted before our Congress…that they know their product is destroying our planet, but will do nothing to stop it.
Until China quits building coal fired grids, anything we do in the US will make a climate contribution no larger than a rounding error.
And to think the US, having proven ourselves to be the biggest liars on the face of the earth, will have any other countries follow our example is simply narcissistic.

Until WE, you and I and they, STOP buying from China, anything that isn’t absolutely required to maintain life…(ie. appliance etc. repair parts)…until we can get our much cleaner factories built back up and producing… we are up the creek on controlling the air that blows our way!…But you’re on the right track😉……… The real future problem…I’m not convinced we’ve raised our own kids to be willing and physically able to do factory work that we and our parents did. Fat and lazy and they’d rather deliver grocery or pizza on “their” schedule and only when they are broke!

In general, he needs to fix the accountability factor. However, there are multiple things under this. I am not sure what the most important thing is. Maybe, overall, decreasing generational welfare and enacting a NO MORE KIDS policy if you are already on it. And by welfare, I mean ALL of it, even what the illegals get. Stop giving people subsidies and they might just stop coming over here.
This is an easy one to answer: rebuild our defense. The only important job of the government is to protect the country and the most important job of the President is to be the Commander in Chief. The biggest threat to the U.S. and all free people is China and they are building their military at such a high rate that if they haven’t already passed us up, they will in the near future. Peace through strength; it works every time it’s tried, just like it did to end the Cold War. Part of that strength is economic strength and it was part of the reason for the collapse of the USSR. China is also getting very cozy with Putin and they have North Korea as their puppet. Iran is also a significant threat, made even stronger by the feckless Biden administration. Part of protecting the country is to stop the invasion and deport every illegal immediately. BTW, why are we allowing our colleges and universities to educate people in STEM fields from countries who want to destroy us????? That and the open border is national suicide. Of course, the colleges and universities like the money that the foreign nationals bring to them and don’t seem to understand the national defense ramifications.
The majority of government spending is in “nice to have” categories. Eliminate the Department of Education and give the function to the states where it belongs. There are other government agencies that need to be eliminated or scaled way back and I trust Elon and Vivek to get it done.
My #1 priority would be NOT to bumblef**k my way into World War 3 before I leave office in 2025……I’m pretty sure that hasn’t even occurred to Biden since he’s playing tough guy now.
First priority would be to repay my business cronies with positions in the cabinet and next would be making sure all present and future felony convictions were pardoned. Lastly, I’d fire any government workers that refused to implement my policies.

Incidentally, since you mention the felony convictions, could you please enlighten us all with the secondary, underlying crime that NY statute REQUIRES in order for those violations to become felonies? A curious world would like to know, since neither the prosecution nor the judge could lay it our for the jury. I’ll wait here patiently…
