On TV, channel 9. I watched the Independence Day celebration at the White House West Lawn. Lots of entertainment and lots of happy smiling American families having a good time.
I watched online. Our celebration of Independence parade and speech at the Lincoln Memorial, followed at dusk by the fireworks was SPECTACULAR!
When dusk came to Concord, I just plugged my ears to soften the sound of war-like explosions, sat on my porch and watched the sky come alive in sparkling splendor. No need to go anywhere.
I especially loved the patriotic flyover of Revolutionary War fighter planes

Yeah. Sounded like WW3 around here starting about sunset. I’m glad fireworks are illegal in California. What a joke.
I watched the fireworks show put on at Mt. Diablo highschool. We can see them pretty well from our house. We stood outside with the neighbors and had a great time watching fireworks light up the sky and seeing how excited the kids were reminded me of when I was kid. I realize it’s noisy and I sympathize with the complainers but it is only for one night (mostly). Im just happy there are plenty of people who still think this country is worth celebrating.
SALUTE TO AMERICA…What a great speech about what our country is. The president did a great job conveying this and kept politics out as promised. And the fly overs, especially the B2 brought tears to my eyes. Later on I put on MSMBC and CNN to see what they said and I wondered did we watch the same show. All they were talking about was fact checking, what was the cost and showing their obvious hate for our president. All this being done on a day it should have been just celebrating America. Looked a the CC Times this morning, same thing. How sad the media only seems to represent the democratic hate now.
On the way home from my brother’s place. Lots of illegal fireworks going off in every direction.
