There is no Death Penalty in California our glorious governor took away that option even though we’ve vote in favor of it TWICE!

Ano March 4, 2020 - 4:17 PM - 4:17 PM

No we don’t want to pay for him to live.

Dawg March 4, 2020 - 4:19 PM - 4:19 PM

Does it really matter? Gavin Newsom placed a moratorium on the death penalty. Even if he was sentenced to death, he’s 74 and will die of natural causes, or be killed in prison before he’s executed.

Lost and Happy March 4, 2020 - 4:37 PM - 4:37 PM

F him, and what he wants. Wish we would spend the 25cents to 49ish cents for the 9mm to 40, 45mm solution to this problem. The victims never had a chance so why should he get the same, years later. Love how he appears meak in trial but big bad a** on his motorcycle prearrest

Anonymous March 4, 2020 - 5:13 PM - 5:13 PM

Small thing but the 45 is a caliber , not mm. Otherwise I’m good to go.

XJ March 4, 2020 - 9:26 PM - 9:26 PM

Yes, he’s right. It’s 9 mm, .40 S&W (Smith & Wesson) and .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) caliber.

But it would be quite awesome if shot with a 40 mm cannon!

Richard March 5, 2020 - 9:37 AM - 9:37 AM

What are you talking about? There are no photos of his arrest.

Ricardoh March 4, 2020 - 4:42 PM - 4:42 PM

The guy will die of old age by the time the courts would let him be stuck. As unsatisfying as it is as long as he never gets out what difference does it make.

Original G March 4, 2020 - 4:43 PM - 4:43 PM

Put him in general population and some wannabe famous convict will eventually gain fame.

Steve March 4, 2020 - 4:49 PM - 4:49 PM

Even if we did have death penalty, he is 70 something and after all appeals are done that would be at least 20 years

BOB March 4, 2020 - 4:50 PM - 4:50 PM

That is true someone will want to make a name for themselves.

ON DA March 4, 2020 - 4:55 PM - 4:55 PM

I need to find out who his lawyer is. I may need coaching like he coached this miscreant so he could seek sympathy from all.

It is a shame that he is getting his way with a plea deal. Too bad he will not be let loose and someone can pick him off with a 30-06 starting with his genitals!!

The Fearless Spectator March 4, 2020 - 5:38 PM - 5:38 PM

Fine, accept the plea and save the cost and time of a trial. However, the victims and their families deserve their day and should be allowed to make their victim impact statements in the presence of this serial killer.

Further, our Governor should attend also. And maybe, just maybe, he will understand how much he has disrespected and underserved the victims of every killer on death row.

Dorothy March 4, 2020 - 6:41 PM - 6:41 PM

No deal. None of his victims got one.

Kentucky Derby March 4, 2020 - 7:22 PM - 7:22 PM

What is he talking about? In CA, the death penalty had a moratorium placed thanks to Newsom. Also, at his age even if he got the death penalty, he’d die of natural causes before it was administered. Was this his attorney’s idea, or his way of wanting to be in control? He’s pathetic, and his life is over.

America March 4, 2020 - 8:13 PM - 8:13 PM

No f*cking way !!! Oh really , he doesn’t want to die. His victims didn’t get to have a choice. Hope he rots in prison and is the prison b*tch !!!

John P March 4, 2020 - 9:06 PM - 9:06 PM

Forget the bargaining with this scum. Convict him of whatever it takes to earn the death penalty (even in this liberal state) and put him down. It does deter murder – name one scum who was executed that committed another murder. Guilty beyond ANY doubt should result in execution.

Ilovepopcorn March 4, 2020 - 9:20 PM - 9:20 PM

He is to me a reminder of how there are still people in the world who behave like he did. There are really evil people who would like to kill us. It is a reality
wake up call. Forget on line dating. Too risky. Do not leave your self vulnerable and so naive that you could meet such a terrible person like this killer. Scary but true. Be careful and be smart.

Janon March 5, 2020 - 7:03 AM - 7:03 AM

It’s crazy to me how murderers cause death to others, then they themselves fear death like this and don’t want to die. Their victims also feared dying, and wanted to live…

The Mamba March 5, 2020 - 7:29 AM - 7:29 AM

Does it really matter? CA effectively doesn’t have a death penalty any more and this guy doesn’t have much longer left anyway. I think getting the facts and reasons for his attacks would help the victims and their families, though.

Bob Foo March 5, 2020 - 11:35 AM - 11:35 AM

I thought the point of a deal is to get a conviction for something if the prosecution fears there isn’t enough evidence to convict at trial.

If they think this guy can squirm his way out of the death penalty if he goes through a trial, then I suppose it’s better to take the deal and at least get him in prison for something.

West Leland March 5, 2020 - 12:12 PM - 12:12 PM

Most people would think that as a leftist that I’m against the death penalty because it’s “inhumane.” This is not true. You just need a .50 caliber bullet to the brainstem or something like that, people need to keep it simple. Give them a massive morphine shot if you want to be sympathetic, but these are bad people and I honestly think that life in prison would be worse than the death penalty if it was delivered quickly. Have you guys been incarcerated before? It’s not what life’s supposed to be by any stretch.

The reason I’m against the death penalty is that it wastes too much money. All that money comes from somewhere and the cost of the death penalty per execution that is actually carried out ends up being enough to send entire towns to college all for the cost of executing one creep.

Rod Barton March 5, 2020 - 2:45 PM - 2:45 PM

I would rather just slice his throat and end the ordeal. What he did was unforgivable to those women.

chuckie the troll March 5, 2020 - 2:54 PM - 2:54 PM

Fine. Life in prison. No possibility of parole. General Population.

mev March 5, 2020 - 9:42 PM - 9:42 PM

looks like prison has improved his health versus how he looked at his arraignment.

The Wizard March 6, 2020 - 8:06 AM - 8:06 AM

Dispatch him straight to Hell.

4th Generation CCC March 7, 2020 - 4:58 PM - 4:58 PM

Death is the easy way out. I believe if he takes a plea he will be out in general population. If it is a death penalty case he gets his own private digs. Besides the death penalty costs California a couple extra million. He is going to hate prison.
