The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.

The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday at noon.

Today’s question:

Now that summer is almost officially over (sept.22), and it’s close to fall, we’ll ask this question.

QUESTION: What’s your favorite season? Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter?

Talk about it….

Those seasons are the thing of the past per some activists who are trying profit from the “Climate Crisis”. They will soon declare winter will not longer exist due to the crisis, push for federal law “meatless Monday” and only allow car usage to 2 times a week, unless it’s electric.

I do like summer but don’t mind winter either. It’s a nice mix IMO.

I like Spring however they all seem the same nowadays.

I like Summer until the thermometer hits 95, then it’s too hot, and I’m not comfortable. Autumn has perfect weather except for the leaves falling all over the place, and Spring is nice, but spiders start spinning their webs everywhere. Winter is nice and cool, but heating the house costs too much.
So you see, every season has its pros and cons. Actually, I like them all, and it’s great to be alive.

If it is 72 degrees and a slight breeze blowing I don’t care what season it is. Other than that Spring.

Unfortunately in California, there are now six seasons, with Smoke and Roast. In normal states, Spring and Fall are the best.

Ilovepopcorn September 8, 2021 - 3:05 PM - 3:05 PM

That is a well thought out answer. California is not a great place to live for me anymore. I hate the hot weather and smoke from our fires. When I get the strength to make a change like relocating to a better climate I will be at peace again. All I have to do is research, decide, get the realtors in line, pack and get outa here,

Summer, spring, fall and winter – in that order. I like them all though.

Future Catlady September 8, 2021 - 1:34 PM - 1:34 PM

I like summer as long as it is less than 85 degrees. Fall is nice because the days can be sunny but not too warm.

Seems like this question has appeared before. I’m so conflicted…

My two cents September 8, 2021 - 2:08 PM - 2:08 PM

There you go with your divisive questions again! I will not take sides but love all seasons equally. 😉
Seriously though, I usually just look forward to whatever season is coming next – looking forward to the change. Except for Summer. The beginning is bearable since it still has enough Spring in it but the 90+ degree days and no rain for months on end gets old pretty quickly.

Winter (assuming winter starts October). Halloween, Thanksgiving and the entire Christmas holiday season are just my favorites.

hanne jeppesen September 8, 2021 - 8:57 PM - 8:57 PM

I love the Holidays, love the traditional Thanksgiving meal, which even though not born in this country, have cooked many times, for friends and my daughter, and of course when my daughter was growing up Christmas was very special. Now I have grandchildren, but because my daughter and family lives in Southern California, I work retail I rarely can take time off to celebrate with them.

These days there seems to be only two seasons in this part of California. There is Hot and Not As Hot…..I prefer Not As Hot.

Fall and Winter, it’s cooler and football is on.

Growing up in Denmark I loved 2 seasons, one was summer, because it meant going to the beach (if the weather allowed) and it staying light to about 10 p.m. The other was winter, because if we were lucky enough to get some good snowfalls (does not happen every winter) it meant playing in the snow, or as I got older cross country skiing, Denmark is fairly flat.
Here in California I love fall, something about the fall color and the sky has a special hue, for years the Scandinavian Club had a week end trip to at the end of Oct. to the Gold Country, we would stay at Sheepranch) which is close to Murhpy’s and Columbia, fall colors are plentiful up there, just beautiful. Having grown up in a country that has 4 seasons (although some would dispute we have summer, depends on the year) and lived for 6 years on the East Coast (Ct and NY) I don’t really feel we have winter here, unless of course you go up to the mountains.

… the cool part of Fall and Winter

Fall. Back to school, leaves changing, an energy in the air. I love it.
