A collision between two vehicles in Concord this morning sent seven people to the hospital.
Three were transported to hospitals by helicopter and four by ambulance.
The collision was reported early Sunday morning at the intersection of Willow Pass Road and Port Chicago Highway, according to police.
The roads will remain closed during the investigation, with no estimate provide when they will reopen, police said.

I was picking my wife up from work, a d saw the emergency vehicles, it looked like every police car and fire truck was on scene. And the helicopter ws landing. I heard there wz a fatality as well as vehicle on fire with people or persons still inside, is there any truth to that, I sure hope ot and that everyone makes a speedy recovery.

that’s crazy i seen the video and heard the truck driver was at fault it’s sad the older men in the truck took the red light and killed these young men so sad this hurt my heart so much

3 occupants were flown to area hospital’s while 4 were taken by ground to local hospitals.

Possibly a red light runner? I’ve seen several runners at that intersection, and almost hit once.
Pretty gruesome scene…I heard the impact and ran over to the cars.
Not 100% on the two vehicles but they were 2020 Ford Explorer with a smashed front end, and on its side (caught massive fire) on the sidewalk with 5 or so late 40s/50s Caucasian passengers who made it out.
The 1999 Honda Civic with 3 young Latino males was a complete tin can, and the fact one man was still alive was a miracle. The driver did NOT make it, and the rear seat passenger did not either and also had no seatbelt, and the front passenger who lived looked crushed under the dash with the windshield—in his seat with his seat belt, but was walking once officers pulled him out when they arrived.

I had the same question Old Otis, as Port Chicago highway ends at Salvio Street, one block away from Willow Pass.
@ Old Otis. well, I guess you’ll never be a cop, firefighter, taxi driver, gig worker, pizza delivery guy, paper boy, hobo loitering at Safeway, or any other vocation that requires the ability to conceptualize a map point given two major, well known traffic arteries. But all snark aside, sometimes I can’t remember where I placed my glasses, or even why I just walked into a room. I’ve just never posted it on the internet. There’s a Safeway on the corner, about three blocks east of Todos Santos.

There was something going on near P Hill BART last night around 9, but I don’t see anything in the news. I have never seen so many emergency vehicles in such a small area, a couple of the side streets off Treat near the BART station. Anyone know what that was about?
Does anyone know the details of the accident on Monument and Oak Grove? I drove by it last night. Was there a fatality? Was there a robbery at Walgreens and the get away car caused the accident? Police, fire and medical were very busy last night. Thank you to them all. And prayers for the injured and their families.
