50-year-old Concord resident Patrick Steven Yelton has been charged with three counts of forcible sexual abuse of a child under 13 which he allegedly committed in 2015, according to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.

In March 2020, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce received information that Yelton was storing images of child pornography in his Google account. Concord Police officers contacted Yelton about the alleged images.

Pursuant to a search warrant, Officers seized Yelton’s smartphone and additional photos of child pornography were located on the device, the D.A.’s Office said.

In February 2021, the ICAC Task Force received another tip that Yelton had pornographic images of children on his Yahoo account which yielded further evidence of unlawful activity, according to the D.A.’s Office.

Yelton was previously the subject of a 2015 Antioch investigation concerning sexual abuse of a child under 13. While reviewing the material in Yelton’s accounts relating to child pornography, evidence was discovered relating to the 2015 investigation.  As a result, Yelton has now been charged with the 2015 forcible sexual abuse offenses, in addition to the original child pornography charge.

Yelton is currently in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility.

Does he work for Disney ?

JazzMan March 31, 2022 - 6:56 PM - 6:56 PM

Totally uncalled for. 🤬

Cyn March 31, 2022 - 7:53 PM - 7:53 PM

@JazzMan
That’s a legitimate question and NOT uncalled for by any means.

Tom March 31, 2022 - 8:04 PM - 8:04 PM

Totally called for. Disney employees are the worst offenders.

bdml April 1, 2022 - 7:19 AM - 7:19 AM

@Jazzman

So you approve of Disney grooming children? How exactly is it “totally” uncalled for? You might want to reevaluate your thinking on this one…

Schmee April 1, 2022 - 7:19 AM - 7:19 AM

I had a coach who was convicted for child porn. He worked at the Disney store at the sun valley mall.

No, he works for the Catholic Church.

Cellophane March 31, 2022 - 4:52 PM - 4:52 PM

And yet they just outlawed hanging.

I guess a firing squad will have to suffice.

Sancho Panza March 31, 2022 - 5:59 PM - 5:59 PM

No need for those methods, Cellophane, he will get his in prison…jury of his own peers…they shall decide punishment..

“Chomo” is prison slang for a child molester and, inmates and officers often claim, they are at the absolute bottom of the implied prison hierarchy.

I’m slightly dyslexic, and sometimes I have to reread something to get it right, but this one really has me confused about the dates. From March 2020, to a month later in February 2021. Huh??

Nolomgerinca March 31, 2022 - 11:23 PM - 11:23 PM

I’m confused of the dates too- 2015, 2020 and 2021 leads; charges going back to 2015- finally an arrest in 2022. Pray to God this child has not been abused for 5-6 years while multiple tips reported.

Good. Throw the book at him. Several books 📚. Maybe the whole library.

LOL she is absolutely a horrific choice with her given track record of light sentencing of child predators.

The Fearless Spectator April 1, 2022 - 1:58 PM - 1:58 PM

Child predators are considered the low of the low in most populations. It’s interesting the Biden administration is promoting a judge who has a documented soft spot for them. Perhaps its their way of testing the tolerance limits of US citizens.

How long before Becton releases him on low or no bail?

FPN March 31, 2022 - 7:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Hopefully his time in prison will be painful.

I like castration with a dull rusty serrated knife. And of course no sedation

Pretty soon these “preferences” will be mainstream. He could always identify as a “furry” – and get put down like a dangerous dog.
